I agree with amir....the shah loved iran more than any of you cyber basijis ever will.....but I disagree that he did not make any mistakes....

he should have unleashed hell on khomeini and his band of idiots and crushed them once and for all- especially after 1342 fiasco....

his problem was that he trusted the us- carter not to abandon him....he didn't realize that they had already decided to topple him

khomeini and khalkhali and arafat should have been put against a wall and shot to hell.....that was the way to cut the head of the snake and save 35M iranians

Shah was no fool, he did not make any mistakes unless you feel being betrayed by his legally bound, pact signed US ally a mistake.  He made correct decisions.  It is not that he or his team made grave mistakes and it was his people that were perfect. He led iran well and his era was one of peace, progress and human rights for Iran, the rest are totally made up lies, that is the truth.  That you say Shah was a dictator and the behaviors of the usa/uk/france were better is a sick joke.  Shah was a lawful abidding king and those who do not know the difference are doomed to not being able to navigate and participate towards a positive solution for Iran.

It was the dictator who was fool.  It was the stupidity of the dictator and nothing else that brought so many sufferings to himself and to the nation.  If sombody around Shah or Reza Shah cared about them, that somebody had to remind them about their stupidity.  It not the person who changes the history wrong way, it is his stupidity.  When sombody only allows Khayeh-mals and Ch-ploos , and Be-vojdans and Be-Sharafs around himself, he will never have a chance to notice his imminent demise.                            If somebody cared about Shah he had to tell him" your majesty I love you, but your behaviour and thought process is shitty, and if you do not behave democratically very soon you and the country will be in deep shit, and your majesty I say these things because unlike  all the Khyeh-mals around you I care about you and the country".
