BBC: The US Navy has rescued 13 Iranian fishermen being held by pirates in the Arabian Sea, the Pentagon says. The 13 were rescued on Thursday after a distress call was received from an Iranian fishing vessel which had been boarded by pirates over a month ago. Fifteen suspected pirates were detained and are being held by the US Navy. The rescue comes days after Iranian officials warned the US to keep the carrier group involved in the operation out of the Gulf >>>

Arj,
by AMIR1973 on Sun Jan 08, 2012 12:41 PM PSTMy remarks were not meant to be an insult to those members of the Animal Kingdom that communicate by means of barking. However, some lower forms of life see the U.S. as the Great Satan no matter what it does. Those same lower forms of life helped get Iran into the rotten state that it currently occupies, and I therefore have nothing but contempt for those West-residing barkers who eat, sleep, and drink anti-Americanism.

If someone decides to see only bad that is all they see. A rescue becomes a show; a gift a bribe and cooperation slavery.

Re "barking"
by Arj on Sun Jan 08, 2012 07:10 AM PSTAmir1973, my preference here is to express and exchange opinions with those capable of doing so rather than trade vulgarities with West-residing Shaban Bimokhs like you! I voice my opinion, you rebut or voice yours, no one's stopping you! Repeating my words and adding insults does not count, nor does it merit a dignified responce!
So, in case this goes over your head and the Wikipedia-knowlege of yours, let me put it in a language you understand; I'd rather bark than to post the brain farts you try to pass here as opinion, which no matter how hard one tries to ignore, the smell won't allow!

Worthy of being on the Time magazine!
I hope that rescue of Iranian people from the grips of IRR will not require a similar gesture of America (i.e., soldiers on the ground) of course at much larger scale!
But, I am willing to bet that American soldiers will be hugged and kissed by all Iranian citizens once they are freed from the criminal monsters of IRR.
Good job America

Dear hmj2101,
This is just a friendly reminder that the name of our Persian Gulf is Persian Gulf. It has to say it by it's name whenever you refer to our Persian Gulf, otherwise, people thinking you're talking about gulf of Mexico.

by Bahram G on Sat Jan 07, 2012 08:22 AM PSTIm afraid you are looking at things from a human prism. The mullahs are psychologically of a different species. To these shia Islamists human life is cheap and disposable. It is their heinous and delusional view of life that drives them. Perhaps you have heard about these murdering criminals giving Iranian boys made in china plastic keys to paradise and using the kids as minesweepers during the war with Iraq. These creatures, the mullahs, are heartless. They don't give a hoot about some missing fishermen. The RISHOO PASHM have bigger fish to fry than to worry about hard working Iranian fishermen who toil to eat and feed their families.
In short, life means very little to these agents of death.

by IranFirst on Sat Jan 07, 2012 08:15 AM PSTDear Bahram G, and Yolanda I am glad you liked the picture too.
Bahram G., There is no fundamental disagreement between US and Iranian People and their interests. unelected-IRI (which does not represent Iranians and does not have Iran's interests in mind), is a different story.
Yolanda , good questions. In an IRI-free Iran the elected government would have been forced to answer your good questions.
.....
by yolanda on Sat Jan 07, 2012 08:15 AM PSTFars cracked me up. According to MSNBS's report:
//www.msnbc.msn.com/id/45909965
Iran's hard-line Fars news agency had a different take, calling the rescue operation a Hollywood dramatization of a routine event.
The Fars report noted that attacks by Somali pirates in the region are common and said that Iran's navy has itself freed many mariners held by pirates in recent years without seeking to highly publicize it.
"Basically, rescuing trading and fishing boats from the hands of pirates in the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden is considered a completely normal issue," Fars said. "A U.S. helicopter filming the rescue operation from the first minute makes it look like a Hollywood drama with specific locations and actors. It shows the Americans tried to publicize it through the media and present the American warship as a savior."

I got it! IRI is still better and more modest even though they have not done a thing for these 13 fishermen!
..........
by yolanda on Sat Jan 07, 2012 07:41 AM PSTThank you, Iranfirst and Faramarz, for the photo and article! Very touching photo and comment by the Iranian fisherman, "It is like you were sent by God."
The whole thing is sad that Iranians have no freedom in continental Iran. At the same time, Iranians got taken advantage by Somali pirates in the sea.....at the same time, IRI brags about they have radar-evading missiles and they are fully capable of defending themselves. I was wondering what IRI did during the 40 days of Iranian fishermen's captivity? Did IRI make attempt to look for these missing fishermen? How many Iranian fishermen are still held hostages by pirates?
Anti-American barking
by AMIR1973 on Sat Jan 07, 2012 07:35 AM PSTA US Navy ship rescues 13 Iranian fishermen being held by pirates days after the Islamist terrorist regime issued threats against that same ship and a West-residing barker calls it a "PR stunt" and invokes "Black OPs" and "pre-war tactics". Perhaps, the ship should have just sailed on by and let the fishermen remain as "guests" of the pirates.

by Bahram G on Sat Jan 07, 2012 07:25 AM PSTThanks for the picture. It is my lifelong dream to see the day that Iran and the USA embrace each other in love and togetherness. If and when that happens, the planet would be transformed from the mess that it is today to a reflection of heaven.

Where is IRI's so called Navy?
by IranFirst on Sat Jan 07, 2012 06:48 AM PSTThey have been in this area for many days and were making useless noise .
IRI did not even say anything about these guys being detained for 45
days. Why can't IRI even mention these hostages (let alone tryng to rescue
them)?
The answer is: IRI is not there to care or save IRANIANs, if this was a Palestinian
flotilla, terrorist IRI's ships would be escorting it across the oceans.
The pirates are possibly even related to IRI thugs and share the booty
with them anyways.
Thank you US Navy

The evolution!
by Arj on Sat Jan 07, 2012 06:30 AM PSTIt's quite evolutionary to see American warships involved in PR stunts rather than Black OPs such as the Gulf of Tonkin Incident! Is that indicative of genuine evolution or revised pre-war tactics?!

The Funnier Part Is:
by G. Rahmanian on Fri Jan 06, 2012 07:15 PM PSTAs soon as the Iranians had recuperated after being fed well and taken care of, a few of them ripped an American flag off its mast and set it on fire while the Somali pirates and other Iranians were chanting "Death to America!" The shocked Americans, on the other hand, just stood by wondering what to do.
