AP — Dozens of Iranian banks were blocked from doing business with much of the world as the West tightens the financial screws on a country it wants to prevent from developing nuclear weapons. The Belgium-based company that facilitates most international bank transfers on Thursday took the unprecedented step of blocking 30 Iranian banks from using its service. The move is likely to hurt Iran's all-important oil industry and make it difficult for citizens to receive money from relatives living abroad >>>

"Moral" vs "Immoral"
by G. Rahmanian on Sun Mar 18, 2012 05:58 AM PDTTalking about "moral" and "immoral," this guy seems to be living in a different world. To average consumers when you buy something and sell it for several times higher than its wholesale price, you have committed an "immoral" act. But is the same true for the merchants?
Moral Banker?
by ghalam-doon on Sun Mar 18, 2012 05:08 AM PDTThat was a good one.
Who was this guy anyway.
I think they've run out of real talking heads to talk about Iran.
It's all about GREED Dadash Joon! Morality plays no part.
Why is it?
by G. Rahmanian on Sat Mar 17, 2012 10:27 PM PDTWhy is it when the Islamist thieves are stealing billions of dollars from the state's coffers there's hardly any talk about "ordinary Iranians," but as soon as sanctions are imposed on the regime the same "ordinary Iranians" come into picture?

O Quran-quoting, Cyber Stalking, West-residing IRI Groupie,
by AMIR1973 on Sat Mar 17, 2012 05:20 PM PDTThe ones with an empty no-brain 'hole' in their skulps, the ones who forget they were born out of a 'hole' in their moms' bodies and sooner or later will be buried in a big underground 'hole' whereas their souls will be returned to their creator!
You are getting very close to what you should do with your Unholy Quran.
Holy? Good Iranian Muslims?
by Demo on Sat Mar 17, 2012 04:54 PM PDTThe known deceptive "traitors' fairy tales" again? Couldn't handle the truth? Not to worry. Didn't expect better replies! Live with'em!
In any event only & only the 'ignorants' call that book 'Holy!' The ones with an empty no-brain 'hole' in their skulps, the ones who forget they were born out of a 'hole' in their moms' bodies and sooner or later will be buried in a big underground 'hole' whereas their souls will be returned to their creator! Perhaps we could call such process 'Holy!' Couldn't we?
Quran reciting Islamist Fascists.
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Sat Mar 17, 2012 04:09 PM PDTLet us never forget that the vast majority of victims of the islamist regime have been good Iranian Muslims.
Dont let their "Quran reciting" fool you. Dont let them succede in drawing a wedge between the Iranians along the religious/secular, Shiat/sunni, Reformist/non-reformist etc. These islamist fascists are our enemy. These cowards are petrified of a united Iranian nation. These money hungry Islamist thieves are going crazy because they are finding it more and more difficult to sell our country and it's natural resources to the highest bidder, and use the procedes to fill their foreign bank account, buy nuclear weapons, threathen other nations and create more enemies for our beloved country.

Could the Inquirer Stand the Truth?
by Demo on Sat Mar 17, 2012 02:44 PM PDT"O' you who believe! let not some men among you deride others: it may be
that the (latter) are better than the (former): nor let some women deride others: it may be that the (latter are better than the (former): nor
defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by
(offensive) nicknames: ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has believed: and those who do not desist are
(indeed) doing wrong. And avoid suspicion of each other as much: for suspicion in some cases is a sin: and betray not on each other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? nay, you would abhor it...but fear GOD: for GOD is oft-returning, most
merciful." (Quran 49:11-12)
PS: IRI's croonies have been failing miserably to follow with above vital Quranic instructions for the past 33 years. 'Stalker' or the 'Truth Teller?' The 'ignorance' is definitely not 'the residing location' dependent.
What Sura deals with being a West-residing IRI Groupie?
by AMIR1973 on Sat Mar 17, 2012 12:59 PM PDTCan our usual cyber stalking, Quran-quoting, West-residing IRI Groupie cite the proper Quranic sura and verse for being a propagandist of said IRI regime while inhabiting a Western country?

Swiss banking embargo may be good
by MM on Sat Mar 17, 2012 11:45 AM PDTThe effect could be on several segments of the Iranian society
1. Iranian Government transactions will definitely be effected - unless IRI switches to a barter system of goods for goods trade with, e.g., China.
2. The effect on the Bazzar merchants (the biggest and probably the most corrupt supporters of the IRI) will be interesting to watch. Poor Rafsanjani(s) will have to rely on his "saved" billions to survive.
3. The effect on the ordinary Iranian citizens - a big unknown since money will be tight and more layoffs and maybe more demonstrations may follow!
4. May I suggest that this Swiss move to be followed with a freeze on the foreign accounts of the IRI officials and the Sepaah?
ordinary Iranians have no dealing with international banks...
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Sat Mar 17, 2012 11:07 AM PDTOrdinary iranians have been suffering from poverty for many years whilst truck loads of their oil income was being deposited into the foreign bank accounts of khamenei, ahmadinezhad, rafsanjani clans to name a few.
Only Islamic regime fat cat and their moftkhor west residing supporters and their wet dreams of aquiring nuclear bombs and waging a disasterous war on israel & USA will suffer, much to our delight....

SWIFT Raping!
by Demo on Sat Mar 17, 2012 10:41 AM PDT"The move by the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication, or SWIFT, is part of a broader effort by Western nations to isolate Iran financially and force it to demonstrate that it is not trying to develop
nuclear weapons."
Is not the above move! called 'exposure by force' or the first attempt in 'raping' one in 'isolation?' But regardless of its definition, such will lead to nothing but further deterioration of our ordinary fellow countrymen' wellbeing. Without an iota of doubt. Shame.
