Khamenei sets up Internet control group

"To protect (Iranian users) from harm"

AP — Iran's supreme leader ordered Wednesday the creation of an Internet oversight agency that includes top military, security and political figures in the country's boldest attempt yet to control the web. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said the Supreme Council of Cyberspace will be tasked with preventing harm to Iranians who go online, state TV reported. "Given the need to make constant plans to protect (Iranian users) from harm resulting from (the Internet) requires a concentrated center for policy-making, decision-making and coordination in the country's cyberspace," Khamenei said in his decree >>>

Really what Iran really needs now is spending even more to add big brother services. We people outside Iran are really damaged by all the open Internet has to offer.

Now that Internet has finally been nationalized ???? what we need more is to put a "komite" next to each switch and router to beat up the non islamic antirevolution, sionistic and criminal IP packages passing through.

 As another guy posted here, what a bunch of losers. The day Iranians have really learnt democratic values is the day we are all protected and no one needs a big brother.

I was in Iran and one would go no where in her net surfing expeditions, besides the internet there is too slow that you would turn to a rusted fossil while downloading a picture ..

I quit using internet ... I felt that I am in a room with shut doors. My claustrophobic mood couldn't take it anymore... and now they want to even control that.
