Amir Seif: Prisoner of the day
JARAS: According to human rights sources, Amir Seif, a previously unidentified political prisoner who was arrested in the aftermath of the 2009 disputed election, has been sentenced to five years in prison and 74 lashes.
According to HRANA, the political prisoner, Amir Seif, is a 28-year-old citizen of Tehran.
On 16 May a Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced Seif to 5 years in prison and 74 lashes on charges of "insulting the Islamic Republic authorities," and "acting against national security through participation in illegal assemblies."
