RT: Five years of frustration are over. Team Russia were the first to test the Iranian female futsal squad after FIFA finally allowed them to wear hijabs on the pitch. Women from Iran are required to cover their head and neck due to the country's religious laws, and the same applies to footballers. FIFA however had refused to let players wear the hijab, citing safety concerns over metal pins used to fasten the head scarf >>>

their heads covered with condomns.
by mousa67 on Sat May 12, 2012 09:59 AM PDTi feel sorry for these lady iranian soccer players who are forced into wearing this restrictive costume resembling a condomn. after the regime change in iran they will be able to dress like female soccer players in the rest of civilised world. they will be free to exercise and enjoy life free from islamist rules.

by yolanda on Fri May 11, 2012 11:07 PM PDTFarideh Shojaei, the Iranian Football Federation’s vice president, said. “.....wearing the hijab doesn't affect our players' performance.......”
but how did she draw her conclusion that wearing hijab does not affect Iranian players' performance? Did she conduct any scientific experiments? Those players have never been allowed to take off their hijab playing soccer anyway!
Later IRI may ask FIFA to add more rules...... something like if anybody tries to pull the hijab, the perpetrator should be ejected from the game immediately!
Shame on FIFA
