Dear Afshinzad,

You wrote so well:

این اقای زیباکلام چرا می تواند حرفش را بزند ولی شخصی مثل ستار بهشتی حتا یک درصد این اقای اسلامی نکفته بود ، ولی ستار را کشتند.
این اقا این امنیت را از کجا میاورد ولی دیگران و ناخودی ها در عرض یک هفته جان از دست می دهند.

I think when any dictatorship is in trouble, these kinds of debates are expected.  Zeeba-Klam always has been part of the system and he realize how things are not any more in the favor of the dictatorship.  There is nowhere for this estebdad to turn.  Internally and internationally things are getting worse by day for this estebdad.  Zeeba-kalam realizes that this estebdad like any other estebdad has gone too far and there is no end for its stupidity.

Reformist demagoguery

by firstdayofmylife on

Dusting off rafsanjani's tools once again that the elctions are near.

Another stunt before the sham elections to create an illusion of alternatives; the same cast of characters propped up by Rafsanjani's so called reformist hullabaloo.

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me; or Mr. Bush's version: "There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."

One is perceived as revolutionary or anti establishment the other is considered reformist.

Many believe that the path to true democracy is to allow all voices within the establishment to come to life. That maybe the most cost effective way to get to democracy.

During this challenging 33 years of Islamic Republic life, we have witnessed that when the system feels threatened it closes all possible channels that may lead to a more open society.

The opposite is also true. When the voices of opposition are more in line with parties rather than revolutionaries we hear them and read their papers without many limitations. In some cases the opposition, currently known as reformists are more articulate, democratic, and free to express their mind than revolutionaries.

This is normal. Assume that you are anti system in the US rather than belonging to a political party. There is a big difference if you get a permit to gather in your city. A revolutionary group will be watched more carefully and will witness more restrictions than if they were a Republican or Democart crowd. A system recognizes that political parties are a part of the system yet a revolutionary if allowed, may take the freedom given to another level where it's not desirable.

Marathon-Man

The Iranians are more clever to buy into this,

by Marathon-Man on

It would be very disappointing to see the Iranians fall for this sort of patronising programs.

We all know quite well that there is no such a thing as freedom of speech in today's Iran and no bright man would buy any of this.

The IRI is the most corrupted  system in the entire world and is not interested in any of the human's right what so ever,  end of.

Just note

by Abarmard on

When you all say that one says good and the others don't, just pay attention that this clip only shows what one side says.

Overall it was a good topic for Iran and Iranian to ponder. The complete round table could be found here:

How should he have said it?

by kazem0574 on

Short of being frogmarched to prison.

Wow, I think he's done a great job considering the circumstances. Those two boogandoo rishoos had nothing meaningful to say.

Khoob Kafeh dasteshoon gozasht.

 Well Done.

I believe...

It is never too late to realize your mistake. Mr. Zibakalam at least has realized that today as many are not brave enough to point it out!
