On Ottawa's decision to cut ties with Iran

The Iranian Canadian Congress ("ICC") is a non-profit and non-partisan organization. The organization was formed in 2007 and is dedicated to improving the lives of Iranian-Canadians by promoting and protecting their rights and encouraging their participation in Canadian society. Through widespread consultation, the ICC identifies issues of importance to the Iranian-Canadian community and attempts to advance such issues through continued engagement with Canadian policymakers. >>>

long live Iran

What is the reason?

by long live Iran on

What is the reason except that Canada is doing what US is dectating to it.

This poor guy so thrilled that could not talk on behalf of some of Iranian who are affecting badly because of this decision...If he really cares! Embassies are mainly to deal with citizen`s need not goverments. They could reduce the level of diplomatic relation if it was because of IRI not close their embassy. It is just another excuse to make this time hard on IRANIAN. Could not you see this?

Long live IRAN for Ever.

This guy even does not know how this will cause problem for other Iranian in IRAN....I guess he is one of the guys who is only after power and never think about IRAN.

I feel sick of seeing these peoples.

Long Live IRAN for Ever.

Bavafa

A great move by Canada but sadly ....

by Bavafa on

for the wrong reason.  I wish for once, they would consider and put the interest of Iranian people.

To the world:

Sever ties and close the embassy for the human rights abuses that has been going on in Iran for nearly 33 years now.

'Hambastegi' is the main key to victory

I just want to thank you again for your comment. You made my day. Last two lines were so funny. It has been a long time since I heard someone call another BOZGHALEH.  Specially a woman with such a beautiful name calling a shameless man, BOZGHALEH.

Then You wrote: (I kinda like that; You gotta admit: the dude kinda looks like a bozghaleh?) \

You kinda like it, but I really loved it?  You hit the nail on the head.  The dude really deserved it.  I must admit, you are a very intelligent and funny lady.  I can't stop laughing. Eradatmand, Akbarmashti

You got Faramarz all wrong.  He is no IRI apologist at all. I guess you have not been following his masterfull comments at all.

My Shameless Paymasters!

by Faramarz on

Banafsheh Khanoom,

I am a somewhat talented person in my field like many Iranians of my generation who got the best education in Iran and continued that here in the west. In my line of work, I have been successful in connecting east to the west and west to the east at the time that nobody knew how to do it, and have a few clients that use my services regularly. And I have my parents to thank for encouraging me to get educated and work hard.

However, my paymasters at the accounting departments of some of these companies are sometimes slow in paying my bills, but I have to assure you that none of them live in Syria or Israel. They are all Silicon Valley startups, with the names that you are familiar with.

Here is my favorite Banafsheh song!

.............

by maziar 58 on

For many years most Iranians here in U.S.A used the Pakistanian Embassy as their Interest section AND business went as usual......

And I'm sure Burkina fasso has an Embassy in Canada to lease an office space to the mollas...........

So ;there goes my 2 cents.

Bozghaleh

by Banafsheh Zolfaghari on

Very good point and good job of pre-empting them from framing it like you have.  So, to follow your make-pretend, had "they" engaged in the way you suggest they would, my humble response would have been:

Perhaps for good reason:  That it has nothing to do with Israel, AIPAC or Zionism !  Bunch of backward, uneducated thugs bullying and raping the Iranian nation is the issue.

There has got to be a time to stop
laying the blame of our national shame and misery and calling out the culprit: the disgraced Iranian regime. It is not the Jews, not AIPAC, nor Zionism that has raped and pillaged the land of Mitra for three decades, and counting.

The decadent regime you, Faramarz Khan, shamelesly apologize for has
a nasty track-record that is collapsing on its own weight !

Faramarz Khan, take a look at the 'thugarry' your paymasters are running in Syria. Or perhaps the Iranian snipers on Assad's roofs are Jews and Zionists desguised as well-fed, farsi-speaking Basij + Qods Force members innocently held as prisoners of the Syrian Liberation Army, with matching fingerprints all over the theatre of death your paymaster's have stage-crafted in Syria?

Khejalat ham khoob cheezeeyeh -- bozghaleh!

(I kinda like that; You gotta admit: the dude kinda looks like a bozghaleh?)

Faramarz

And he didn't mention AIPAC or Israel!

by Faramarz on

The Iranian-Canadian Council guy went through his 5-minute talk and never mentioned Israel, AIPAC or Zionism!

You losers at NIAC may want to take a note.

That's what's called representing the Iranian community.

I don't see

by iraj khan on

any Iranian Canadians cheer this closure!

The ones who actually live there, the ones who are growing a family, business men/women and the students who are dependant on services rendered by Iranian/Canadian embassies.

Why aren't they pouring on to the streets in Canada and celebrate?

I wonder why?

amirparvizforsecularmonarchy

Well Done Canada, IRI doesn't get it or what Iranians think

by amirparvizforsecularmonarchy on

of Khomeini and his revolution.  The Younger Generation can see it as it is and call it what it was, a mistake.

Meanwhile Iran's Foreign Ministry said Ottawa's five-day deadline for
its diplomats to leave was "unwise." It said Canada cut relations in an
"unprofessional, unconventional, and unjustifiable manner while
resorting to misusing international law."  So its Clear the IRI doesn't get it.  The Regime is Illigitimate, the revolution was illigitimate and is today unwanted by most of the people of Iran, specifically the Youth who did not participate in the Crime of 1979 against King and Country.  Mullahs are not wanted, they don't get Iran because torturing Iranians, corrupting them, enslaving them, lying to them about the late shah, stealing their future makes the mullahs the Biggest Traitors to Iranian Culture.
