More than twelve hundred people attended
Children of Persia’s 6th Annual Walk-4-Children on October 5, 2008 in downtown Bethesda, Maryland. A cheerful crowd of children led their families in a walk around downtown Bethesda, returning to Elm Street for a block party. They enjoyed live dance performances by the talented dancers from Born 2 Dance and
Iranian Student’s Foundation (ISF) from University of Maryland College Park. Master of Ceremony Ali Zinat got the children engaged in the festivities through various activities. Families and friends danced to great music by DJ Delbar/DJTaba from RadioJavan. Children’s activities were complimented by face painting, balloon making, Shoot-the-Goal, Hair braiding and Henna Tattoo by COP XY volunteers. Other activities included bake sale, great food provided by Johnny’s Kebob, and various walk prizes donated by generous donors. This year, the Art fair which brought many local artists to the event was expanded to include many new local artists from Maryland and Virginia
