Although it would make perfect sense, I doubt that she meant it as a defiant and especially obscene gesture. Most Iranians consider both directions the V signs.

Rostam Offspring Battling IRI Monster

One can have nothing short of admiration and awe for these beautiful and courageous Iranians who are rising against the Islamic Republic demanding a secular democracy and just society. The world is siding with your movement and today President Barack Obama strongly condemned the recent IRI violence against you and stated that USA supports your right to freedom.

The compassion and good will of the demonstrators against the cornered Basigis, the agents of terror and violence against them, are nicely depicted in pictures 8 and 10.  The defiant obscene gesture by the injured and beautiful young lady to IRI regime is a nice contrast seen in picture 7.

What an amazing collection of photos! They should be added to history books later! #2 is my favorite, people overwhelmed the security forces!!  What a moment!!
