Gorgeous, but...
by John on Thu Dec 03, 2009 04:20 PM PSTYes she is a gorgeous specimen of woman, but she is much too skinny for my tastes, and also too skinny for her own health. Give me a real woman with curves and substance any day.

True identity!
by AMT on Tue Dec 01, 2009 09:52 PM PSTThe following link might shed some light on the true identity of the pictured model. She is a model for the Seasons India and most probably is not of Indian decent:

I Might Marry Her ;)
by HHH on Tue Dec 01, 2009 07:58 PM PSTBut first she has to ask me, then I'd have to see how her inside looks like. Real beauty is on the inside you know :)
She's Parsi which means her family probably grew up in Gujarat India where Freddy Mercury(Farrokh Bolsara) of "Queen" grew up.
These Parsi Zoroastarians escaped the Arab Muslim attackers of Persia and fanatic Persian muslims just as we got away from them, only back then there was no modern America and Europe was too far so they just boarded ships and sailed to India from Persian Gulf/Omman.
Re: Parsis/Iranis
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Tue Dec 01, 2009 05:50 PM PSTThe rules against marriage outside of Parsi group is relatively recent. There is evidence that Parsis did mix with the local Indian population. Specially taking Indian women into their families. There were several genetic studies done. I don't have the results right now but I think there were two contradictory results. One indicating closer ties with Indian and the other with Persian population. The explanation I read was that the male lineage is more Persian while the female genes have a greater degree of Indian.
Also, going back far enough both Persian and Indian people have a common heritage. We both trace to the ancient Aryans. Of course once the Aryans moved to Iran and India they got mixed with the original native populations 1000s of years before Islam.

But I also like the way Natalia and Yolanda going about how they need to take off a little from here and there LOL.
Only women do such comparison I guess. Nothing wrong with it , just funny.
Re: Parsis/Iranis
by Harpi-Eagle on Tue Dec 01, 2009 04:49 PM PSTI must point out that although you're right about most of the comments you wrote, Indian Parsis as they like to be called, maintained their bloodline purity and I understand for that very reason, do not marry outside of their own extended clan, they are therefore genetically every bit or more Persian than Iranis living in Iran. You are right they have successfully adapted to Indian culture, language, and citizenry, but I am certain they take extreme pride in their ancestry, as I mentioned they always call themselves Parsis which is the ancient Persian name of the group.
I admire these people for their courage to migrate en mass to an unknown land and unknown future rather than accept the rule of force and savagery. You see, 1400 years ago, people only had 4 choices when the Tazis attacked Iran, they could pay heavy jezieh and be treated as 2nd cleass citizens in their own land, get be-headed, join the Muhammadist Cult, or migrate.
Just like modern jews say nowadays, to this shameful period of our history we should forever say, "Do NOT Forget !, & Never Again !".
Payandeh Iran, our Ahuraie Fatherland.

I don't think Khamenei deserves even her "dard o balaa". He can have mine.
Parsis/Iranis
by kingpillaroffaith on Tue Dec 01, 2009 12:58 PM PSTIt is important to keep things in their right context: Parsis are from India and their faraway ancestors came from Iran 1400 years ago. They have kept their Zoroastrian religion, but their language is now Gujarati, with the most educated ones speaking English among themselves.
Iranis are another group of Zoroastrians living in India with more recent roots in Iran (from Safavid to late Qajar times-so at least 100 years), but again they are well integrated into Indian society.
Their wealth and success in business, industry and other professions, highly disproportionate to their actual numbers (approx 60 000 in India which has 1.2 billion people) underlines their enormous achievements as a group.
But it should not be forgotten that these people have totally cut their ties with Iran and are Indian citizens and as such, they should not be included as members of the Iranian Diaspora.

by Humility on Tue Dec 01, 2009 11:05 AM PSTWhat I meant in my comment below was that the Parsis were primarily original Zartoshtis from our beloved Iran, who left Iran when Islam came to it!
Of course, Zubin Mehta was born in India! I was talking about the Parsis Heritage,
I hope that has clarified things for you,
Respectfully,
Humility
To: y kingpillaroffaith
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Tue Dec 01, 2009 10:59 AM PSTParsi's as their name indicates are from Iran. They migrated to India due to Islamic persecution. I am not going to give a hitory of Parsi's here but if you are interested there is plenty out there.
Since the Islamic invasion and the intolerance it brought many Zartoshtis have left. Mostly to India. They include: Parsi's and Irani's. Are they from Iran? They are originally from Iran so yes.
To Humility
by kingpillaroffaith on Tue Dec 01, 2009 10:53 AM PSTYou wrote, speaking of Zubin Mehta, the Indian conductor:
"An original Zartoshti from our beloved Iran". Since when is Zubin Mehta from Iran?
Let's stop taking other nations' successes as our own, just becasue there is a remote sign of Persianness in them.
Zubin Mehta was born in India, to Indian parents.
Very beautiful pictures,
by Humility on Tue Dec 01, 2009 10:49 AM PSTand a very beautiful lady.
An original Zartoshti from our beloved Iran - Zubin Mehta, the previous conductor of The New York Philharmonic, was another Parsi!
Thank you,
Humility
You think that looks good!
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Tue Dec 01, 2009 09:12 AM PSTVery beautiful indeed for a mortal. Reminds me of "Mah-eh Nakhshab". Now if you want to see real beauty you should see me: Muqanna. But for your own good I will keep my mask on.

Very Beautiful girl, thank you for sharing.
She is from Indiana, not India
by Faramarz on Tue Dec 01, 2009 08:09 AM PSTShe looks awesome. I can’t wait to see her dancing around the Banyan tree.
I have met my share of Indian people in the Silicon Valley and Indian buffets over the years. But I have to admit that they don’t look anything like her. They probably keep the good looking ones at home, and send the smart ones over here!
These people are not
by kingpillaroffaith on Tue Dec 01, 2009 06:13 AM PSTThese people are not Iranian. Their ancestors left Iran 1400 years and their languages are Gujarati and English. I don't know why some people still like to believe that they are Iranians or are still connected to Iran in some sort of way...

missing element of style
by Sargord Pirouz on Tue Dec 01, 2009 03:13 AM PSTThe fashions are highly stylized, but the looks are incomplete without some sort of head ornamentation or partial covering. Myself, I'm impressed by traditional Tajik or Uyghur head ornamentation.
The hair and make-up are too Euro for the look, too.
However, the model is undeniably lovely.
Absolutely Breathtaking ...
by Darius Kadivar on Tue Dec 01, 2009 02:39 AM PSTWhat a beauty !
