I have not been in iran, for 19 years now, and I have viewed many pictures from Iran since I came to this country. Your pictures were one the best. For some reason it refreshed the memories, maybe because it was not done by fake people.

I think it is quite brave of him actually! In the world where the word "Hossein" generates conflicting sentiments and implies unfortunately "evil" for so many westerners, he took up to show the face of a simple man, not a politician (Barack), not a dictator (Sadam), not a martyr (Imam)...Just a man...who probably likes himself very much too...like all men do ...

Hossein certainly has a lot of free time on his hands. Not only to take many many self portraits but also to alter his look and reinvent himself over and over again for the camera. Might he have something better to do with himself or is this a commentary on the disaffected youth of Iran and their lack of real opportunities to contribute to their society and themselves? Or might it instead be a commentary on the universal affliction of ego on the males of our species?

Just wondering...
