I am fairly familiar with Javadieh...
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Sun Apr 17, 2011 07:20 AM PDTAs I have a couple of very good friends born, raised and living there whom I always visit when I'm back home. They and their neighbourhood dont fit these silly stereotypes.
I very much agree with MG's original comments.
"Personal business must yield to collective interest."

by bajenaghe naghi on Wed Apr 13, 2011 11:11 AM PDTI loved it! What a bunch of funny characters. Thanks.
Thanks for the correction of the name
by Souri on Tue Apr 12, 2011 11:51 AM PDTI (we) knew Mr Salaahi very well. I always pronounced his name Omran, never got any feedback about that ;-(
He was a great man.
...
by Mash Ghasem on Tue Apr 12, 2011 11:33 AM PDTSouri, correct you are on the last name, and thanks for your correction. The first name however is pronounced Emran, or as Azaris pronounce it, Imran Salaahi.
" I'm the kid from Javadieh, " MAN BACHEH JAVADIEH'AM , might be the only poem wriiten about that neighborhood. Still trying to find it. Can't find anything these days!
His name is Omran Salaahi (not Saalehi)
by Souri on Tue Apr 12, 2011 05:44 AM PDTMG,
I thought the mistake was yours, but then I saw this is repeated every where on the net!
So much for the irresponsible people!
Omran Salaahi was a very well known and reputed writer/Satitist. His name could not and should not be mistaken so easily.
I am so much disappointed!
multi-culturalism is going to be my killer
by ComraidsConcubine on Mon Apr 11, 2011 04:26 PM PDTI mean it, it's going to kill me, It's already killed whatever was hopping around inside my skull and gnawed at my other organs, but it's just going to murder me in full blood and then claim victory and go down in the history books as one of the most pseudo-fascistic idiotic movements there ever was.
If any books are going to be printed - that is,- of course.
lol

Too much of generalization
by Bano Atefeh on Mon Apr 11, 2011 09:10 AM PDTThis is stereotyping people who live Javadieh
خیلی "جوادیه" ای
Mash GhasemMon Apr 11, 2011 10:30 AM PDT
So who won?! Ahhh Iranian endings, you'll have to "guess"!
