 As I have a couple of very good friends born, raised and living there whom I always visit when I'm back home. They and their neighbourhood dont fit these silly stereotypes.

I very much agree with MG's original comments.

I (we) knew Mr Salaahi very well. I always pronounced his name Omran, never got any feedback about that ;-(

He was a great man.

Souri, correct you are on the last name, and thanks for your correction. The first name however is pronounced Emran, or as  Azaris pronounce it, Imran Salaahi.

" I'm the kid from Javadieh, "  MAN BACHEH JAVADIEH'AM , might be the only poem wriiten about that neighborhood. Still trying to find it. Can't find anything these days!

I thought the mistake was yours, but then I saw this is repeated every where on the net!

So much for the irresponsible people!

Omran Salaahi was a very well known and reputed writer/Satitist. His name could not and should not be mistaken so easily.

I am so much disappointed!

مثلا دیگه خیلی "جوادیه" ای شدین!

شرط میبندم پای یه نفر از اینا  پایینتر از ونک هم نرفته. میخواهی بفمهی جوادیه یعنی چی، برو  "من بچه جوادیه ام" از شادروان عمران صالحی  رو بخون، هم 'سوات' شعر نوت بالا میره هم 'سوات' جغرافیایی تهران! شعر دوست نداری، برو " قصه های کوچه دلبخواه" از اسلام کاظمیه رو بخون. عکسات قشنگتر میشه .
اون عکس اولی که خیلی قشنگه ( خدا زنده نگه دارش ) ، اون چش و ابرو و  نیمچه خنده مارو  یاد دختر خوشگل های امیریه انداخت, زنده باشین جونها.
