In Fatherhood We Share...

by Farrokh (not verified) on

I want to congratulate you on two accounts:

1- On the account that it is obvious from your pictures that the joy you felt during that trip beholding what your daughter has blossomed to, and being with her and your beloved sister, are beyond words...

I haven't seen my sisters for over 30 years...

2- Again on the account that you are such a lovable Dad to such a gem of a daughter...

A joyous, prosperous, and fantastic new year to you and your loved ones, mate.

Cheers...

Thanks for sharing.  Please tell Mahdieh, do not  change your name , I like Leila but name is not important what we do with it is. She is doing just fine , so a name is a name.

Most Regards,

Tahirih

You should have read some of those comments made on the above-mentioned thread before making your comments. If you just read some of those comments and skip over the ones that incite hatred and get overly personal, i bet you, that you may learn a thing or two about history and politics of the region. I know i am.( I am not done reading yet)

What "tone" has JJ been setting that you find "unconstructive" or "persuading". He said what made sense and what was right. what is wrong with the truth?

Oh BTW. I almost forgot. Thank you for sharing the beautiy of Mexico with us JJ.

Very nice

Your photos captured so much of the detail and the intricacies of the handicrafts and the art. It really made them stand out vividly.

If the walls of those buildings could talk.....wow!

You really captured the difference between the tourist traps and the places of real beauty in Mexico, the kind that isn't often seen.

Thanks for sharing.

While in Mexico, see if you can find some 'Murals' by Diego Rivera

I am attaching the link to his bio:

I have a feeling you're going to like his work :)

The Moon

Glad your road trip goes so well. I didn't intend to comment here but I felt compelled. I give myself two more days and then my summer's rez is my new year's rez. Finito. If I appear to be dogging you, so be it.
Meantime I refer to your post to Enuf below, and please do not consider it off-topic as I address your own reply.

Of course I disagree with Enuf but Enuf expresses the viewpoint of a significant minority opinion onsite, that there is too much focus on the Palestinian/Israeli conflict instead of Iran. Despite the direness of the conflict now, I find Enuf's post to be perhaps ironic but polite and heartfelt.

I find your reply unconstructive in perhaps persuading Enuf a bit over to our viewpoint and I do not find it polite. As leader of this community I feel that your standards of civil discourse should be a bit more stringent than others' as you set the tone. Do you wish this to be the tone? Of late at times I have even felt you are starting to afford yourself special privileges and prerogatives AS A POSTER that others do not have.

Despite our growing rifts I have ALWAYS vocally championed your progress as the leader of this growing vibrant cyberdemocracy. When challenged I have told people that you are shouldering your share of the burden and they are not shouldering theirs. I have blogged as much. Once or twice I even asked them: is it because you want to see jj's face instead of Imam's on the moon?

J, do you want them to see your face instead of Imam's on the moon?

Sorry j. I HAD to say it. The fate of this democracy is the only legacy I have here.

simply lovely.  People used to call me "freddie flicker" because I carry my camera wherever I go.  But looking back at pictures from 20 - 30 years ago, I'm glad of it!  Enjoy it to the max!

1. Smoking is not good for you, and you should consider to shed a few pounds.
2. If only C Colmbus had a digital camera!

Enuf,

If you're unhappy and want to stay in the dark, go watch CNN or move to the moon.

A suggestion

by Enuf (not verified) on

Dear JJ;

Please consider changing the name of your Website from Iranian.com to Palestinian.com. Look at the number of posts popping up on Palestine!!

Either the posters are not Iranians/of Iranian origin, or that nobody cares about Iran and what mullahs are doing to it any more on this Website!

Good family photos.

by Esmal Latte (not verified) on

Good family photos. Mahdiyeh and Michelle are very photogenic, especially Mahdiyeh.

Sorry JJ jan but I can't say the same for you ;-) you need to work on your facial expressions and stay away from say cheese poses every time! I am not photogenic either. A little less smile and a little less eyebrow action may work ;-) Give it a try next time.
