Thanks for sharing your views. I agree with some of your points in particular about the importance of the old works of art (to me they are so precious and beautiful)even though I’m a fan of modern art, too.

A very good question. I wish I could answer that. Unfortunately I've recently enteredthe "dorey eslahate" and the only word with correct Persian writingthat I've learned is Somagh. I'm keen to learn, though. If I come across anyother relevant point I'll let you know, as well. But for now "somagh" is thevery edge of my knowledge. I’m afraid.

 Of course we are all free to like what speaks to us and not like it otherwise.Furthermore we are all free to express our feelings and thoughts without becoming the object of sarcasm ( not from you) , otherwise the  problem is more serious than connected eyebrows and "gardan shekastegan"!

Connected eyebrow: symbol of women of Ghajar period and before. I do not like the usage of this symbol   in art, I do not like the fact that  it has become a symbol of docile  women :all gardan shekastehgan have connected eyebrows and their hair covered.

خانم عاطفه،هنر پس از قاجار فراوان خلق شده ..هر کدام زیباتر از هر زیبایی اما هر کدام به جای خودش.هنر مدرن طراوت خودش را دارد و این تازه‌گی برای ما و دیگر مردمان عاشق هنر اصیل ایرانی ندارد !

انتقاد زمانی‌ خوب است که سازنده باشد،راه گشای یک ایده کار ساز باشد.

شما برای ساخت یک پایه..یک ساختمان را به زیر می‌کشید که اینجور را نمی‌شود انتقاد نامیدش و جز دلخوری دیگران چیزی به ارمغان نمیاورد چون در آن منطق حسی ندارد و قطعاً دیگر در آن بحثی‌ نیست.

هنر جدید

 اشکال پرسش شما در این است که منتظرید پاسخ ها را دیگری برایتان بیابد و عرضه کند.

   یعنی شما که بدون شک از "واردان" به هنر جدید، معتقدید در ایران هنوز هنری پس از سبک قاجار  
"خلق"
 نشده!

با شما بحثی نیست.

آیا اجازه هست  تماشاگران این "آثار" اظهار نظر کنند؟

پس چه شد ؟ ما هنوز دست به سینه اینجا نشسته و منتظر هنر جدیدی هستیم که عاطفه خانم از آن صحبت به میان آورد.

سر در نمیاوریم که چرا بعضی‌ از مردمان سرزمینمان قصد تعویض یک سری جریاناتی را در فرهنگمان دارند ! کرور خداوند را شکر که تا به حال هیچ گزندی به فرهنگمان و به هنر جاودانمان وارد نشده است،کسی‌ مخالفتی با ابداعات جدید در هنر ندارد (ما خودمان هنر جدید را دوست داریم،به خصوص هنر مربوط به زنان را !) و تنها خواستار این هستیم که بالا غیرتا از چیزی گله و شکایت کنید که از آن سر رشته دارید،وگرنه حرف پشت حرف گفتن در این دنیای مجازی امری سهل است و هیچ مرز و حدی برای آن نیست ! بحث بیش از این بی‌ مورد است،آن زمان این گونه برداشت بود،آن زمان محدودیت بود و همین هم که داشتیم از غنائم و فهم و شعور هنرمردان آن زمان بود.

همچنان منتظریم که شاهد خلق هنر جدیدی در این زمینه باشیم.

بهارتان پیروز بعد و چشم و دلتان محفوظ از چشم بد سیران روزگار .

Thanks for sharing your views, Your point about "gardan shekasteh" is an interesting one, I'll consider that in my future work. However the 21 century vision for women's social place, whatever it is, is not about denying or forgetting women's past. By the way, there is nothing wrong with having connected eyebrows, even though it might look wrong by today's measures. I like Qajar art, I'm no expert, but love the richness of colours and somewhat similarities between men and women in their cloths and their faces. And don't think their use should be banned or cost anyone their right to talk about women rights or other issues.

قطعاً زن ایرانی را میتوان در بهترین نقش‌ها توصیف کرد و از آن طرح‌های زیبای فراوان کشید،هدف توصیف زیبایی است و رسانیدن پیام هنرمند.

اگر شما طرحهای زیباتری از این هنر برتر قاجاری سراغ دارید.. این گوی و این میدان.. اینجا گذارید تا ما هم بهره مند شویم و هم خلقی هنرمند را توفیقی جدید دهد.

گردن شکسته

Iranian.com, on March 23rd posted a painting of a women on its first page.  This is supposed to be a piece of art announcing Now Rooz.  Every time I see such paintings , I cannot help but recalling the word " gardam shekasteh", an expression used to refer to  someone miserable and innocent  in Persian/Farsi. 

Rendering women passive and docile by any mean possible is nothing new. Patriarchal systems have done this to no end. Beautifying docile women has preference over portraying women embracing their imperfection of any sort.

In 21st  century, we are still looking back, reproducing Qajar art, painting women with connected eyebrows, covered hair in their “latchak”  and tilting their head to one side. As if nothing has changed in the past hundred years.   We still hang them on our wall and present them to our offspring  as “authentic” Persian art!  No wonder this cliché, depicting the fantasies of mostly men painters continues form one generation to the next. The question is: doesthis depiction reflect our vision for women’s social place and role at the present time? If so, then please  do not utter any word about women rights or women movement!

Nowruz is a celebration of earth and nature
