On the other blog (the one about Molana that has turned into smart phone discussion), I wrote to Anonymouse that I am not into changing to Apple or travelling too much but then I look at these pictures and get so tempted to travel more. You make  a good case for travelling more by the fantastic pictures you take. These are beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Don't miss the Catacombs

Tunnel after tunnel of ancient underground cemeteries;  all of the city's catacombs are located on the outskirts of modern Rome usually along side major roads. Best ask to see the best ones.

Bloodcurdling but fascinating to see.

and you like to have a friend as a guide to show you the city. let me know. Otherwise, Rome is a small city, just with a simple map, you can get to every where you like. Don't forget the Trivia(Trevi) Fontain. Fontana di Trevi

And drop  a small coin there for me.

Verona has only the opera house and romeo -juliette sight to see but beautiful scenery if you can rent a car and drive north (cortina d'ampezzo) skiing in december ! Maziar

JJJ get one of those open top buses near the train station.

Termini? or something or the other.  I think they're like 20 or 30 euro for 24 or 48 hours, but they're really worthed.  You can get on and off at different stops and wonder around.

Rome is really nice.  So much to see and do.  I'd also recommend renting a Vespa.  I think there is place close to where you are near the Termini area that rents them.  Pizza is oh so delicious too!

Italy as a whole has so much to see and do.  I'd stay away from Naples, they say it's all messed up or something.  But Florence, Venice, Pisa, Sicily if you have time and ....
