For Anonymous-haha:
by Ari Siletz on Sun Jun 15, 2008 07:41 PM PDTHere's a short story written from the point of view of a Shiite protagonist. The work is by an Iranian-American participant in the above seminar. The story shows how religious parables are used to instruct kids in ethcial behavior.
This story is currently being taught in modern world literature courses in some American high schools. From the occasional homework questions I receive from students, the story has encouraged critical thinking about Islam.

Books like Lipstick Jihad and Reading Lolita in Tehran made me hate Iranian-American authors
