And by the way, what do you
by Farhad Kashani (not verified) on Fri Nov 30, 2007 10:14 PM PSTAnd by the way, what do you mean by they want "recognition"? Define that in term of international politics. The Iranian regime is well recognized, unfortunately, by every single international organization such as U.N, IAEA, Islamic Conference, Interpol, nona-lligned movement, among hundreds of others..as an independent country. This is not "Jonoob Shahr Tehran" streets where "LAATS" are fighting and killing each other asking for "NAFAS KESH" and "Recognition". I do understand this is a cultural problem that many Iranians have, and I do understand that is the policy of the IRI, asking for NAFAS KESH, and one day , at the expense of lives of thousand of Iranians, just like the Iran-Iraq war, some powerful NAFAS KESH will come out and bring upon destruction to our country.
Iranean, how can you say IRI
by Farhad Kashani (not verified) on Fri Nov 30, 2007 10:08 PM PSTIranean, how can you say IRI doesnt want war? Have you forgot the fact that it led the Iranians into the longest running war in the 20th century? This facist regime survives on war and instability. They have proven that for the last 30 years they've been in power. As result of it, more than 1 million Iranian died for nothing.

by Anonymous Msslymoni1 (not verified) on Fri Nov 30, 2007 03:39 PM PSTThis site seem to have morphed in to an anti USA site and a parapoganda tool for IRI's supportrs. I am not sure if Jahanshah Javid, is or is not a "Hezbollah in Disguise", but he sure is giving them a platform to prapogandize for IRI and anti West in general. Wish we could use our talent and energy in heping to find a way to support Iran without antagonising US and the rest of the Western world. Have we ever thought of the fact that the "Mollahs" are our uncles and our relatives and they are not Anglo. AZ most keh bar most.

by Anonymous55676 (not verified) on Thu Nov 29, 2007 05:12 AM PSTMr. Q, you ask the editor of the site to remove some "Zionist" comments!
How about IRI's agents on this site?
Are these pro-IRI Islamists less mozdoor than a pro-Israeli?
Is the IRI less criminal to Iranians than any foreign state including "Zionist" Israel or "Satanic" US?
Are the hundred thousands of IRI's victims all traitors?
Are half of Iranians or women half humans?
Have you ever though that people like you must one day respond before justice for your support, if not crimes against humanity? Or you want to use one of your fake names to inflige your parasitic life somewhere else?

Don't be fooled by
by Iranean (not verified) on Wed Nov 28, 2007 06:07 AM PSTDon't be fooled by Ahmadinejad's rhetoric. He is like Netanyahu of Israel, or worse who is the Israeli Minister who says all non jews should be deported? right now this day and age not in the past. Ahmadi is like Ann Coulter who says US should nuke all arab countries and convert the surviving populations to Christianity. Are you forgetting these people??
If you are going to say, but they are not in power, think again. Who forced the war on Iraq? Ahmadi is not in power either. He fired the nuclear negotiator and Khamenei put him in charge of his new negotiator!
Anyway, Iran wants recognition not war. Whether they get nukes or not it is another story. You have to live with them. You can't nuke them out of existence. They are not going anywhere, anytime soon, certainly not by another Iraq style war. Israel's F16 don't have enough fuel to reach Iran.
So unless you are going to follow Ann Coulter's policy, lets get with the program. Acknowledge Iran and get somewhere Or continue with the dog and pony show and get nowhere.

NBC is reporting that ..
by American (not verified) on Wed Nov 28, 2007 04:35 AM PSTthe reason Syria and the moderate Arab states are attending the Annapolis Conference is their fear of Iran and extremists. No one is in love with Israel or the US, but it seems they fear Iran more. President Ahmadinejad tried to stop the Saudi King and the Syrian President from attending. Jordanian officials called the Iranian Ambassador to Jordon to complain about the crowds and damage to their embassy in Jordan. The Sunni Arabs fear extremism more than America according to the left leaning NBC analysts.
Whew.... it's a relief not to be the bad guys for a change. I'm embarassed that Bush 2 screwed up the names of Abbas and Olmert. Would someone please teach him something????
There were a few links to descriptions of Putin's Iran discussion in Tehran if you google Iran/news. The clerics tried to convert Putin, who is probably an atheist. That's an excellent way to make Russia fearful of Iranian ambitions.
Iran is really isolated. This is better than war. No one dies. Perhaps, the clerics will take note of their position in the world. At least, Rafsanji will notice. It's sad when someone like Rafsanjani is our hope for change.

But Q, I don't think it is right to ban anybody unless this becomes a private site where you have to join etc.
Contrary to what jahanshah says he believes in, I believe there are many things that are sacred.
I really think he is using the term loosely!
I do believe the foul language is being monitored to a certain degree,(you actually do not see the foul swear wrods that used to be directed at people and their families anymore, but what the criteria is I still don't know!)
But I hate to see any thing/person being "abused" by any party. Be it on this site, in a country like Iran, or in the school down the road. That includes religion and faith too.
MT, I'm totally with you,
by Q on Wed Nov 28, 2007 12:12 AM PSTCan you please start monitoring the foul, vicious language used to insult and degrade Islam on daily basis on this site? I hope you don't have a double standard.

Jahanshah, please consider banning this guy. It's getting rediculous.

Plot against Iran
by Xerxes III (not verified) on Tue Nov 27, 2007 07:30 PM PSTDid anyone listen to John Bolton recently?! This is a front to plot an axis against Iran. All of the participants know that they will not get anywhere on Israel and Palestine but they will form an anti-Persian axis. There are some analyst that think that the go ahead to attack Iran will be agreed on at this meeting. Be advised!
Israel want two thing from the Ismalic Republic
by Shalom Goldsmith (not verified) on Tue Nov 27, 2007 06:09 PM PSTYour oil and your women. The rest of you we will bomb into oblivion! God bless Israel and why not.
To Shalom Goldsmith
by Ahvazi2 (not verified) on Tue Nov 27, 2007 05:56 PM PSTIsrael can shove it's F16s up your Lord Moses's Ass. Israel has been the main pain in every one's ass since it's conception. Just imagine if you spent the money you receive anually from the US, and spent it on educating the Palestinian youth, how peaceful your next generation(on both sides)would live. Ever thought about that? or just like a typical Israeli you want to fight everyone in your neighbourhood, and if Israel is stupid enough to attack Iran, you'll not only need Moses on your side, but all the other prophets in every holy book out there.
so you are saying that Iran is a player in the
by American (not verified) on Tue Nov 27, 2007 05:32 PM PSTIsraeli/Palestinian conflict? Are they actively trying to bring peace to the region?
I think Hamas was invited and they declined. Hezbolla is a part of a different issue.
Iran is a player, but I don't think they want the problems solved. The term "Death to Israel" comes to mind.
Let's hope Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon can help solve the problem. Sometimes, you have to let the spoilers have their own conference and try to make agreements that allow progress.
If Islam is the religion of Peace..... let there be peace.
During, this conference certain understnading were reached
by Shalom Goldsmith (not verified) on Tue Nov 27, 2007 05:08 PM PSTthat has given the go-ahead signal to Israel to bomb the Islamic Republic clandestine nuclear sites. With the grace of Lord Moses, Isreali F16's will take part in this attack and the most cancerous organ in the Middle East will be taken out once and for all.
God bless Israel and why not!
RE: American
by Iranean (not verified) on Tue Nov 27, 2007 05:07 PM PSTDear American not inviting Iran or other countries that US and Israel like to ignore, doesn't solve anything. It's like white americans trying to abolish slavery or segregation without blacks' participation. Or like having a peace in Ireland without IRA's participation. How many of these middle east peace conferences have you seen? dime a dozen. As long as you ignore the players, you'll get nowhere. It'll be just another dog and pony show.
About the Iranian alternative conference...
by American (not verified) on Tue Nov 27, 2007 04:59 PM PSTIran is inviting the Jihad, Hamas, and Hezbolla plus some other "terror" groups. What do you think their plan is for the Middle East? Do you think the game plan will include another Holocaust?
Iran is a spoiler. They would have come to ruin the attempt so it's better that they not be invited.
I hope for peace and a chance for Palestine to become a nation and prosper. I guess that's funny to Iranians.

Basheer Assad
by Anonymous314 (not verified) on Tue Nov 27, 2007 12:59 PM PSTIf I were Basheer Assad I too would go to Annapolis, maybe something would rub off on me, like maybe some territory. Beside I would like to ask Israelis in open forum why they bombed my country like a bunch of bandits during the summer. I also want to stick a finger in Lebanese prime minister's eye and the UN Secretary General's eye for accusing Syria of murdering the harir guy, who probably died at the hands of Al-Qaeda in Lebanon, which operated out of the refugee camps. And, I would go so I can come back and tell the Iranians what went on.
Funny!
by Nazy Kaviani on Tue Nov 27, 2007 11:46 AM PSTVery funny! Too bad there aren't more pictures. There should definitely be one of Beshar Asad, especially since Hossein Shariatmadari of Kayhan said today how "surprised" he was to find out that Asad is going to Annapolis! Good going.
Let's have our laughs and let us pray for real, sustainable, and lasting peace in the Middle East. Enough death, enough bereavement, enough poverty, enough hate; enough is enough. Peace.
