"The Persian population in Iran is not a majority, it is a plurality. There are many different, diverse, and disagreeing populations inside Iran and an obvious strategy, which I believe is a good strategy, is to separate those populations." - Rep. Jane Harman (May 3, 2009)
Through conquest and turmoil, the Iranian nation has survived and thrived for thousands of years, with peoples of all backgrounds and ethnicities forming a common identity. Now that President Obama has emphasized diplomacy and reduced the chances of war between the United States and Iran, Congresswoman Jane Harman (D-CA) has a new idea: rip apart the Iranian nation by dividing its peoples along ethnic lines.
Please sign the petition from NIAC against Herman Calls for ethnic separation of Iran. Thank you.

Persian Eagle
by Fred on Tue May 19, 2009 01:14 PM PDTOne has to love the NIAC lobby groupies, when faced with their own words all of the sudden they are linguistically challenged. Just search the Giant’s numerous utterances; this direct quote was chosen at random, there are so many others with the same content. Again the NIAC lobby advocates are not only marvelous they are hypocrites too.
Nasser Khosrow's eagle:
When it looked at the arrow ans saw an eagle feather at its end
It lamented, "Who can we blame, but ourselves
Since it is from us, that comes towards us?

by The REAL suomynonA (not verified) on Tue May 19, 2009 01:07 PM PDTIt seems that as Jewish extremists gain more power worldwide, they get more careless, arrogant and stupid.
This American political leader is just the tip of the iceberg! There will be far more devious plans for Iran, Iranian culture, identity and Iranian people that is not even mentioned by mouth. We can actually thank this person for showing us the exposed tip of the iceberg.
If you are Iranian and you oppose them, they call you pro-IRI, Lefty or other non-sense. If you are a Westerner and you oppose them, they call you an anti-semite or some other garbage name. If you are a Moslem, then you will be an Islamist and anti-west. They sure got it covered pretty good! If you oppose them, then it is you who is bad, not them!
Hopefully some Iranians who have their heads stuck in their rear-end can take it out and take a better look around.

by kurdish Warrior (not verified) on Tue May 19, 2009 12:51 PM PDTfor this petition to be a strong voice from all iranians, NIAC need to get in touch with all ethnic opposition groups such KDPI and others outside as well as many org inside Iran whom represent different ethnic or religious groups so that they join them and to have them give their statement about this nonsense. Without these groups whom represent different iranian ethnic nationalities, people like harman would be around. Unfortunately NIAC has so far neither stand up for the right of Iranian ethnic groups (the way they are treated by the government) nor communicated with these organizations. Rest to be seen.

The word is ethnicities not nationalities. Ok! Got it!
do you think Harman was also speaking in her second language and made a little booboo using the wrong word?

Do as I say not as I do
by Fred on Tue May 19, 2009 12:37 PM PDTThe airhead congresswoman is not the first and won’t be the last dizzy-head who speaks of “nationalities” in Iran. When you have self described Iranian Giant saying: “Every nationality within the Iranian society is proud of their cultural background.” the congresswoman’s inexcusable mischievous statement is somewhat understandable. The advocates of NIAC lobby are just marvelous.
