To Jamshid
by Anonymous01 (not verified) on Mon Feb 04, 2008 07:24 PM PSTDid I hear you say "We could have had far more advances in that area, had the IRI not existed"? You must be joking. During shah? when everything, I mean everything was imported from abroad? The goal of keeping you in total dependency. I am not pro IRI, but at least give them some credit to charge young Iranians to pursue something for the first time in our screwed up history. Why Iranians always see thing in either black or white? God damn it I am sick and tired of this pessimistic attitude.
Shah never did this
by Alborzi (not verified) on Mon Feb 04, 2008 07:07 PM PSTHopefully Ahmadinejad will shut up, its actually comical to even compare this haphazard shot
to the ones done by Americans or Israelis, but I bet you he will. Same Guy who told Bill Clinton to shut up about Obama, should go and tell Ahmadinjad to shut up.
Great achievement!
by Proud Iranian (not verified) on Mon Feb 04, 2008 07:07 PM PSTCongratulations to all Iranians who love Iran regardless of politics and the regime. This is a great achievement and a victory for the Iranian people. I'm proud of those scientists and engineers who have done an amazing job against all odds and despite all obstacles put in their paths by the world powers.
And those miserable slaves who have no talent but bitching about everything about Iran and barking from the safety and comfort of their masters' territories should shut up and not spoil even their own cause, whatever it is. You parasites will buy nothing with your nonsense arguments but hatred of true Iranians who love their mother land no matter what.
Great....
by ZebelTheRebel (not verified) on Mon Feb 04, 2008 06:44 PM PSTWe are a couple of hundred years behind. It's great that we have atleast started to catch up with rest of the industrialized world.
Only ill wishers would be sad looking at this.
Perhaps in tandem with this we have to take steps
to rid of our cultural demons and superstitions!
Poverty and illiteracy are our enemies from within. Our justified obsession with our enemies without should not distract us from our enemies within.
We need a free, democratic, informed and prosperous nation. It's easy to blame our nemesis for our problems but we have to realize we have some share of the responsibility.
We have to purify our culture from the unwanted cultural sedimenst that it has gathered throughout centuries. The stronger a misguided nation becomes the more misgivings it would bring for the world and
itself.
In doing so we have to ignore the ill advice of friends to look back to Cyrus and Zorastra for guidance. We have to look forward. Science and rationality is all we have as our guide. We have great traditions but we have to purify them and discriminate on what we take and what we leave behind. Just being a tradition be it natinal or religious does not justify that we carry them forward. We have infinite potential but we have to face our ignorance and our enemy's arrogance at the same time.
i watched this video couple
by Behnam.sezavar on Mon Feb 04, 2008 06:38 PM PSTi watched this video couple of times , did they count wrong??!! i mean onnce the guy counted from 10 to 1 and then 1 to 10 but the shuttle was fired at 8 !!!!!!!
It's all in the pay load.
by mehran (not verified) on Mon Feb 04, 2008 06:30 PM PSTSending a rocket into space is not a big deal. The big deal is how much payload you can send up there. As the rocket gets heavier, the technology for building the engines and control gets very complicated. For example the turbo pumps have to run at incredible speed to pump the fuel into the nozzle. Any error there will disintegrate the pump in a matter of seconds. Also, the cooling of the engines become more of a problem and in the case of multiple engines, then the control regulators become exotic.
Looking at this video it is obvious that this rocket is a child play compare to what the American technology is where today. It is just a show piece for IRI thugs but has no practical value.
Domestically built? IranNegah.com?
by jamshid on Mon Feb 04, 2008 06:24 PM PSTThe rocket was a montage of old Russian and North Korean technology. If you could even say that it was a montage. The Russians almost delivered it "pre-built." The rocket did not even make orbit. But the IRI and IranNegah.com, one of IRI's fronts, are trying to milk as much PR from it as possbile.
We could have had far more advances in that area, had the IRI not existed. It's like a child learning to walk at age 5 WITH A WALKER, and then the parents throw a party to show off their child's "accomplishment". It's pathetic.
Secondly, I want to remind and warn everyone that IranNegah.com is an IRI front with the goal of elevating the IRI while at the same time, belittling and bad mouthing any force opposing it. The reason I said I want to "warn" everyone, is that the folks at this site are no dummies. They have thrown in a few videos with hints of IRI criticisms, to give the "resemblence" that they are not an IRI front.
They then come to Iranian.com and grab attention with eye catching titles such as "Wow! Watch Khamenei's slamming speech ...", or "Wow! Watch Ahamadinejad strike back...", and so on.
The little bastards have made Iranian.com their advertising grounds.
Thats nothing!
