TEHRAN, Iran - Iran's official news agency says Tehran would consider any U.S. request to set up a diplomatic presence in the Islamic Republic. A Foreign Ministry official quoted by IRNA Tuesday said "in principle, Iranian officials will consider requests they receive through formal channels." On Monday, U.S. officials floated the idea of opening some sort of interests section in Iran.

by ali reza (not verified) on Wed Jun 25, 2008 04:28 PM PDTI one hand USA has Iran surrounded and on another hand,it is trying to open an interest section in Iran. This does not make sense.Either it has changed its mind about attacking Iran,or has given up.
