Members of a group of extremist Jews who have been involved in harassment and violence in al-Quds say the police support them.
In an interview with the Israeli Channel 10, the group's members who called themselves Modesty Guard said that they enjoyed support from the police and influential rabbis.
The extremist men have been resorting to violence and harassment to counter what they call examples of immodest behavior in some al-Quds neighborhoods.
The group's members have broken into homes on several occasions and assaulted the people who do not comply with their strict standards. They have even forced their victims to leave their homes.
While the so-called Modesty Guard was previously believed to be a simple advocacy groups, new information suggests that it has turned into a secret organization with its own hierarchy and regulations.
