16-Sep-2008 (one comment)

Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves said the U.S. ambassador for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean asked why he forged relations with Tehran when the U.S. still had concerns about its nuclear program. "My assessment is that Iran wants to come in from the cold," Gonsalves said late Monday at a news conference. "Iran wants to be engaged internationally, and it is the duty of countries to engage others."

Not too bad of a price to buy friendship. But I am wondering what a significance of a small Caribbean country has for Iran.Either they are anti USA or they have some kind of voting right in UN.
