Iran softens resistance to U.S.-Iraq troop pact.

Iran on Monday softened its resistance to a pact that calls for
withdrawing American forces from Iraq by the end of 2011, a shift that
could make it easier for Iraq's ruling Shiite Muslim government to
secure parliamentary approval. U.S. officials said they doubted that
Tehran had altered its stance, however.
