VIENNA - Iran is showing “utter disrespect” for the U.N. nuclear watchdog by ignoring unanswered questions about its atomic programme, European powers said on Thursday. Officials close to the International Atomic Energy Agency said last week its inquiry into suspected atom bomb research by Iran had degenerated into a standoff with neither side speaking since September, soon after Iran asserted “the matter is over”.“(This has been) two months of utter disrespect for the agency and members of this board,” Britain, France, and Germany said in a statement to the IAEA’s 35-nation governing body.British Ambassador Simon Smith, delivering the “EU-3” statement, said some on the U.N. nuclear executive were originally confident Iran would cooperate with the probe.“Iran’s dismissive response to these expressions of confidence is all too starkly set out in the report before this board, with its unmitigated record of refusal to cooperate,” the statement said.Iran’s denial of an IAEA request to check design details at a research reactor under construction and its failure to provide preliminary design data for a nuclear power plant planned at Darkhovin were of particular concern, he said.Iran’s programme was dangerous because it “continues and intensifies a threat to the stability of a troubled region”, the statement said.Iran says it is enrich... >>>

Anonym7,

Changing the subject to Israel every time someone talks about the IRI regime is :1- A miserably failed attempt to apologize and justify for the IRI regime and make it look like a victim 2- A sign of sick obsession with Israel.

I’m not a fan of Israel, but Israel is NOT an enemy of the Iranian people, and Iranian people are NOT enemies of Israel.

All that being said, your beloved IRI is a bunch of, literally, former thugs and “chaghoo kesh” and “laats” who are controlling the country now.

So we should let the IAEA which is most likely infiltrated by every european superpowers intelligence services, to gain access to our military bases and missile sites beacuse the US CIA sat infront of Photoshop and made one fake document after another. They can go to hell with their hypocrisy. When we test try our first nuclear bomb, then bring this crap, before that, stfu please, because you have no moral nor legal upper hand.

Iran has every right to the development and use of nuclear energy in any form and for any purpose. The same rights that others, especially, your favorite country (Israel) exploit.

Lies

by Mammad on

All the legitimate questions by the IAEA have been addressed by Iran. All one needs to do is reading the February 2008 report by the IAEA.

What is left is linked with a supposedly stolen laptop which supposedly contains some incriminating documents about Iran's past activities. But, the IAEA has said explicitly that it cannot prove their authenticity. The US is not willing to let experts analyze the laptop for its digital chain of custody which would demonstrate how those documents were inserted in the laptop, if they are indeed from the laptop.

Aside from too many holes in the fabricated documents (which I recently explained in an article on antiwar.com), the question is: Since the laptop has supposedly been in the US possession since 2004, and if the documents are so important, why were they brought up the day after the IAEA issued its February 2008 report? It is clear why: The West has no intention of returning Iran's nuclear dossier to a normal state. Just review what has happened since 2003. Every time an issue is resolved, another supposedly important issue is thrown in the mix. When that is resolved, another one comes up, and so forth.

FK's hatred of the IRI has blinded him to facts and realities. And he often speaks about this issue, one for which he has no knowledge or expertise whatsoever.

Iran has answered all the pertinent questions about...

her nuclear programs. There are some unsubstantiated claimes and suspicions against Iran by a couple of Iran's enemies. Iran is under no legal nor treaty obligations to answer innuendos, accusations and made-up claims by anyone.  Accusing Iran of "unmitigated record of refusal to cooperate" proves the entire statement is a lie and Iran must refute it in the strongest terms. IAEA has announced several times that Iran has not violated the terms of the NPT, and its nuclear program is constantly under IAEA's monitoring.

don't forget the biggest thugs and bullies!

Kashani, Iran does not have any nukes. Biggest thugs and bullies are many of those countries that already have a stockpile of nukes, those thugs include your beloved Israel with large number of nukes.
