In Israel, all the talk is about the “picture of victory” – not victory itself, but the “picture”. That is essential, in order to convince the Israeli public that the whole business has been worthwhile. At this moment, all the thousands of media people, to the very last one, have been mobilized to paint such a “picture”. The other side, of course, will paint a different one. In this war, this has become political and military dogma: only if we kill “them” disproportionately, killing a thousand of “them” for ten of “ours”, will they understand that it’s not worth it to mess with us. It will be “seared into their consciousness” (a favorite Israeli phrase these days). After this, they will think twice before launching another Qassam rocket against us, even in response to what we do, whatever that may be.

Israelis proved that they are worse than Hitler
by Israel Lover (not verified) on Mon Jan 19, 2009 09:05 AM PSTThey rely on "audacity, audacity, audacity" to take them far. They will have a very rude awakening. I think it will be too late for them though - very unfortunate because the violence that they will most likely experience at the end, will not itself be a solution. Sad.
Of course
by Zion on Mon Jan 19, 2009 12:55 AM PSTone can also note that these political claims of one person might not be ... you know...facts.
[But it serves our agenda, so why worry about such details.]
outrageous!
by IRANdokht on Mon Jan 19, 2009 12:41 AM PSTthis is a mind boggling level of cruelty and arrogance! How inhumane can they be? and so proud of their achievements in killing and wiping out a whole nation... these were civilians they killed, even if we don't speak of the adults, there were over 500 innocent kids just in this last disproportionate war!
Thank you Mr Yassari. This article needs to be seen and this barbaric attitude has to be exposed.
This part of the article could not have been any more accurate:
Israel has imprinted on world consciousness a terrible image of itself. Billions of people have seen us as a blood-dripping monster. They will never again see Israel as a state that seeks justice, progress and peace.
