Palestinians in human rights organisations are reluctant to speak publicly about what is a sensitive issue, but one respected human rights worker in Gaza said he believed between 40 and 50 people had been killed in reprisal attacks..But there was not yet enough evidence to suggest this was an organised campaign by Hamas, he said.
>>>I know, I know, tit for tat. These things happen in a war-ravaged zone. You should hear what the French did to their collaborators just after WWII. Came up high in the Gaza google today and was the only thing that hadn't already been fed yet so thought I'd give it a feed, that's all.

by Mehdi Mazloom on Sat Jan 31, 2009 11:42 AM PSTTo get to the truth. you have to research the entire Gaza-Israel relationship from June 11, 1967 until August 30, 2005.
Yes it is very targic that, Israel had to resort to such extreme measures to stop the rockets raining on its citizens.
Hamas left only two choices for Israel. Chose between the lives and safety of their woman and children whom for more then 8 years were terrorised by Hamas rockets. Or the livelihood of the Pals in Gaza.
Which one of them do you think, Israelis should chose?

I don't know about strawberries Mehdi,
by rosie is roxy is roshan on Fri Jan 30, 2009 06:01 PM PSTand I do know you have your biases, but my first comment here is ironic. (As if I haven't already learned how BADLY irony works here..) These reprisals are small in comparison to the (BEYOND) excessive force of the Israelis, but they exist, and the one recounted in detail was against an innocent person by people clearly in Hamas, even if not authorized by the leaders. And I know people are gonna thiink, whose side are you on?
As far as this feed goes, I'm on the side of the guy who may never walk again.
Those collaborators were real Patriots.
by Mehdi Mazloom on Fri Jan 30, 2009 05:23 PM PSTApparently those alleged collaborators in Gaza, were members of PLO. They got sick and tired of hamas, which brought nothing but destruction and misery everyone else there. Sold out their future and self respect to the Mullahs in Tehran. They just had enough with this terrorist group and wanted to weaken it.
Occupation notwithstanding, not many years ago, more then 130,000 Palestinian workers were crossing into Israel every day, and were making decent living.
Israel had helped Palestinian farmers to be more productive, and efficient. Most of their world class strawberries were sold to Israelis, and exported to Europe. Standard of living in Gaza were far higher then when Hamas took over by force.
