Visiting former German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder backed the establishment of an international nuclear consortium in Iran, local satellite Press TV reported on Sunday. Schroeder "has welcomed the prospects of an internationally-run nuclear enrichment plant in Iran," Press TV said. "Iran's offer to form a nuclear consortium is acceptable and should be followed up," Schroeder said in a meeting on Saturday with Iranian Majlis (parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani in Tehran.

rosie, the US media is now at a loss how to deal with this, although I'm sure the Obama administration is pretty much clear where it wants to go with this, but for obvious domestic reasons it has to play its cards close to the chest.

you are right, I omitted that part from my comment to my feed and I should've put it in. I was thinking it might be the most important thing but there was so much else going on there, I read so many releases and articles...an interesting thing is I notice you got this feed from China. Other than Germany, the best I saw was from India. At first I thought it was because of the time zones but I think they are just more objective.I don't even remember seeing any from the States.
