Can you imagine if every single house in Iran would raise a hen that produce one a egg a day and grow some kind of vegetable what would happen? The man is a realistic and his statement or complain has some genius in it. Just imagine the self sufficiency of the nation. Produce produce and produce. Iranians are lazy in nature. Their favorite slangs: baba velkon hal dari, migi man to khonam morgh negah daram vase ye tokhme morgh? mage mish agha jan. mardom chi migan poshte sare ma. aslan in kara dar shan ma nist. Sorry for caring on.

If you truly are curios, there are many analysis that satisfy your question. What do you think "Savad" is? Is Pat Robinson "Ba savad"?

In the Western societies, where the horrible actions of their system that ends up killing hundreds in not millions of people, what's "savad" has done? Don't confuse the issue of "civil society" with the system of government.

72 million people have decided to learn and better themselves. The question should not be why? but why now? How come we could not have done that when Europe was going through the same changes? What happened? Reading some history and the plots by the powerful "savad dar" countries might give you many clues as why we are here today.

Religion is the dominant force of politics in the entire Western world, and that's after so many years of being able to advance their modernity and civil societies without a foreign interruptions that Iran had to deal with. Today Iranians, even in a far away village are somewhat more "ba' Savad" than those who run many sensitive political agenda of the United States. Mixing and matching is the problem, isolate the issues then you'll see more clear what's what.

Sorry to have written this long comment. It's a long topic to discuss...

How is it possible?

I remember watching one of Shah's interviews, apparently after he had left Iran, where he stated that there is no way that a bunch of "bi-savad" are able to put together a "revolution" and then direct it as well.   Seeing, watching, hearing comments that are made by Badamchian, I understand shah's point of view.

I still wonder, how a nation of 72 million has been fooled by moslem clerics for 30 years ... and I don't believe the "nation" will ever come to understand who and what OWNS them.
