Rapes targeting girls as young as seven are on the increase in Afghanistan where conditions for women are little better than under the Taliban, the U.N. and rights groups say.
In its annual report on human rights, the U.N. warned conditions were deteriorating in the war-ravaged country despite U.S.-led efforts after the 2001 removal from power of the hardline militia.

The aghanistanisation of Iran
by khaleh mosheh on Sat Mar 07, 2009 07:25 AM PSTOf course the best way to help the Afghan women is by embarking on long term reconstruction and education. Something that Iran is in a great position to help with due to the cultural and linguistic ties.
Unfortunately if the Zionistas get their wish of 'turning Iran into a parking lot' then no doubt Afghanistan and Iran will be in the same boat with the situation getting much worse than what is currently the case for Afghans. Pakistan is heading towards the same destination anyway.
I guess they are calling it 'Project Africanisation of Midde East'. That will definitely solve all their security worries pre-emptivey.
And the runes are all pointing to Obama implementing the Bush doctrine only with more competence.
