This act should be followed

by Farhad Kashani on

This act should be followed by all Arab nations and as matter of fact, all nations around the world. Hopefully this is a first step. IRI’s fundamentalist and terrorist agenda is a threat to the entire world, but most importantly to its Arab and Islamic neighbor.

Good job Morocco. Good job shutting down “Lane-ye-Jassosi IRI”.

I can not figure out what Obamas expectation of the end game is with Iran.

Is it to isolate Irna and then to extract concessions or Isolate and let Israel or USA attack?

If it is the former, they could strike a bargain with the mullas tomorrow without all this. It makes more sense in the context of weakening Iran to the point that militarily and diplomaticaaly it will be a push over.

Remember Admiral Fallon's saying Iranians are like Ants, when the time is right we will crush them. I suspect the startegy hasnt changed- only the tactics have.

Change Policy: AIPAC through US pressures them to force IRI

by gol-dust on

to change. They are trying to distract them from israel and focus on iri instead. US needs Iran and this is their carrot stick strategy to gain the leverage that they dont have.

Thanks for you comments. I agree Iran will need to forge solid alliances with the independent arabic speaking countries.

Also the article you have posted looks very comprehensive. I will go through it in detail to give it the attention it deserves.

Ba sepas.

Oh and let me add

by Toofantheoncesogreat (not verified) on

The arab states in the Persian gulf are of no threat to Iran. Once oil and gas runs out, they will be sitting there with empty expensive hotels and properties, alot of expensive american bought weapons which they cant find the reverse button on even during a war and no cultural/scientifical/industrial industry.

"Arabs" Dont hate Iran. Syrians, Iraqis, Lebanese are our sisters and brothers and our blood has mingled with them for thousands of years. The ruling parties of the persian gulf arab states "hate" us because the only thing they gave to the world was a religion thousand of years ago, and they still have not moved further from that point (if you dont count the rape, murder and pillaging of one great civilization after another that can only be rivaled out by the mongols). Every scientific, military or industrial success being achieved under an "arab" name has been a non arab under arab occupation.

If I was a Lebanese for example, I would drop the arab title and rather pick up the phonican title instad. I mean, just look at the faces when you walk in Beirut, I dont define them racially as arabs, its a pathetiq political joke being exported from Saudi Arabia.

I mean, Iran has been ruled under an arab caliphate, we kept our persian, assyrian etc titles. Its a matter of time that such nationalism is grown back in the above mentioned countries.

The "Arab" definition

by Toofantheoncesogreat (not verified) on

Many people think to simple when defining all these nations as "arabs". This idea of "arab unity" is a fantasy wish for the arab ruling leaders in these countries, because if its one thing these nations have in common other than Islam and speaking arabic (even though in different dialects), is that they have cleptocratic regimes sucking the blood out of their countries.

If you talk with Syrians, Lebanese, Iraqis for example, you will find alot of hate against the Persian arab gulf states. They speak the same language and worship the same God, but their faces/race and culture are different. I would even dare say that the culture in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon are closer to Iran than the states in the Persian Gulf.

So called arab countries in North Africa again have their own complete culture. And they are again being pressured by the Europeans who hold all the puppet threads at the end and who are the real criminals.

Dear Learned Hajminator and Ostaad

by khaleh mosheh on

Thank you for enlightening me on the situation. Looks like all the pro western regimes are clutching at straws and Iran is indeed a conveniet scapegoat.

The irony of the situation is Iran has the most pro-western populace and given a patient approach by the west, the IRI probably could have evolved into a secular republic. Although with the current developing strategy of the west unfortunately all I can see is the hardliners in Iran getting more and more entrenched.

Scapegoating Iran has become too convenient

by Ostaad on

When you read "Iran is also accused of trying to alter the fundamentals of the Moroccan identity", the only thing that comes to mind is how insecure these ruling families have become!

If Iran could do all the things it is accused of, then Iran would be the a superpower far stronger than the US! The ruling families in these countries have reached the end of their shelf lives and they know it. The birth pangs of the "new Middle East" is felt all over the place.

Hajminator

Khaleh joon,

by Hajminator on

North African Arab countries had since IRI a blue funk that their islamist groups upraise and change their regimes as what happened with our Shah. In Algeria, FIS (Front Islamiste du Salut) had won the elections, some years ago, but the army took the power back. It then begun to massacre people by telling that it was the work of FIS. In Moroco, things are a bit complicated; the former king of Moroco had purchased and assassinated his opponents – even democratic ones who were exiled in Paris. With IRI in place, his son, Hassan II is continuing the path of his father. Now, add that all these countries except Libya are influenced by Egypt which dislikes mullahs as much as Israelis, and also the friction of Iran with the small states of the Persian Gulf, and that Arabs don’t like Iranians at all... That gives the beverage.
