Biden warns Israel off any attack on Iran

Vice President Joe Biden issued a high-level admonishment to Israel's new government Tuesday that it would be "ill advised" to launch a military strike against Iran. With his brief comment Tuesday, Biden became the highest-ranking administration official to caution the Jewish state against a military strike. In the interview, Biden was asked whether he was concerned that Netanyahu might strike Iranian nuclear facilities. "I don't believe Prime Minister Netanyahu would do that. I think he would be ill advised to do that," Biden said. "And so my level of concern is no different than it was a year ago."

Israel, under the hardline and obnoxious Netanyahu, takes heed and refrains from any attack on Iran.

The Iranian people are already suffering under the Islamic Republic as it is and don't need a war to add to their misery, which will also provide the Mullahs and their supporters with their tried and tested and favourite excuse, the threat from an external enemy, to prolong their misrule of Iran.

Of course, it WOULD help to calm tensions if Mr. Ahmadinejad publicly and clearly expressed that Iran has no intention of attacking Israel, does not want to wipe it off the map and would only resort to military means in self-defence (i.e. in response to being attacked first), but we all know THAT'S not going to happen, don't we?
