The proposals, exchanged in confidential strategy sessions with European allies, would press Tehran to open up its nuclear program gradually to wide-ranging inspection. But the proposals would also allow Iran to continue enriching uranium for some period during the talks.

Old news
by Eureka (not verified) on Tue Apr 14, 2009 12:22 PM PDTWe've known about this since last year. Nothing new.
Wow... you mean actually observing Iran's rights?
by Q on Tue Apr 14, 2009 12:16 PM PDTactually treating Iran according to the its rights in NPT? Negotiating in good faith? Out of mutual respect and equality?
What a radical concept!
Great news!
by 1L (not verified) on Tue Apr 14, 2009 10:33 AM PDTThis is great news for those who believe reform in Iran can ONLY come from within. I would bet that most loyal Iranians who actually want the best for Iran (not looking out for another nation's interest) are happy about the US change in policy.
Bad news for the following:
- Israelis (who want to maintain hegemony in the region and are jealous of possible US Iran relations)
- Monarchists (who are a dying generation so who cares)
- MKOs (Traitors)
will Israel go for more U.S. submission to the will of mullahs?
by I wonder (not verified) on Tue Apr 14, 2009 08:46 AM PDTI wonder how far Obama will go to please mullahs and how patient Israel will be with all this.
I just hope at the end of the day, Obama like Carter is not double-crossed by mullahs.
