This is wrong factually and logically. One religion has to be the fastest growing and it's actually impossible for there to be "zero" proof of that.

The 2008 ARIS survey is probably the kind of proof you want. Read it here, the table on page 5 (Table 3), clearly demonstrates that Islam has doubled (100% growth) from 1990 to 2008. No other religion has even close to this performance.

Now when this survey came out, it received wide publicity and was written about in USA Today and other media outlets. I believe there was quite a bit of politics that was played with the headlines which nearly universally read: "No-religion is the fastest growing religion in America." There is not any doubt in my mind that this was done just to avoid saying that Islam is the fastest growing religion. However their numbers easily demonstrate this.

First of all "no-religion" is not "a religion".

Second, they only got that number by combining a few categories. I believe their calculation was done by combining "no religion" with "atheist" and "agnostic" numbers. These were not seperate categories in the survey and the lack of definition. difficult to imagine that people mean the same exact thing.

To be sure "no religion" respondents had grown considerabely (from 8.2% to 15%) but that's still less than Islam. However, if you combine the "no religion" answers with "atheists" and "agnostics" the three of them combined have made over 100% growth.

But no one can dispute that in America Islam has seen the fastest rise compared to Christianity and Judaism and other Asian religions.

i find it ludicrous to believe someone will convert to a religion... ANY religion... based on experiences at gitmo.  was he emotionally changed by his experience?  certainly.  did he see something inspiring about SOME detainees?  for sure.  but conversion based on these very particular and specific conditions.  no.  it doesn't happen that way.  it would be interesting to know some dates of his converstion... when did it take place... when was this video shot... and where he'll be in 5 years. 

i'm curious where the statistical proof is that white educated females are flocking to islam comes from.  not from any white educated females i know.

1) If you want to go by babies in the US, Mormons produce the most babies per capita

However, despite this, Islam is still the fastest growing religion in the US based on conversion alone.

Another reason for growth of Islam is all the babies muslim mother in the muslim countries, just about all 3rd world countries, give birth too. The population increases three times of the West.

This is not surprising to me

it does however make one wonder who really is "winning" the war here, for those who are at war with Islam.

But this is not surprising.

Islam's message is social justice. There is no better example of abused justice that has received as much publicity and attention as Guantanimo. Here you probably have a bunch of young Americans who swallowed the Bush era right wing propaganda about Islam and Muslims. They didn't know any better. Then they saw that they were holding a bunch of innocent people (90% had no case against them) in Gitmo, and furthermore their own "side" was torturing and lying about it.

Finally they saw vindication in the form of Obama acknowledging and shutting down Gitmo.

This combined with the destruction of the rest of the right wing "morality" is having many people question the fundemental faiths that led them to this point. In point of fact conversion to Islam is up accross the board and has increased among women.

This is not unusual either. Powerful stories of injustice, suffering and impossible odds agains the righteous are at the root of many religions. Think about David v. Goliath, Christ and Imam Hussein.
