British delegates joined a dramatic diplomatic walkout today when President Ahmadinejad of Iran told a major UN conference against racism that the state of Israel had been founded "on the pretext of Jewish suffering" during the Second World War.
Around 20 delegates, including envoys from the UK, France, and Finland stood up and left the room at what was considered an anti-Semitic remark by the Iranian leader, who has repeatedly called for Israel to be wiped off the map.

Hypocrisy Rears Its Ugly Head Again
by Kaveh Nouraee on Thu Apr 30, 2009 03:33 PM PDTWhether the truth is told by AN or anyone else in the world, it doesn't change the facts...
What utter bullshit. If George W. Bush were talking, or if an Israeli official were talking, everyone knows you wouldn't be saying the same thing you are now.
How long do you plan on acting as if everyone else is irretrievably stupid?
sorry YT
by anonymous fish on Fri Apr 24, 2009 03:40 PM PDTi knew it was too good to last. suffice it to say that every thing i've said has just been proven...lol.
i decided that even referring to the devil incarnate is too much negativism for me. everybody will have to answer for their actions one day. what goes around, comes around.
good luck to you sir.
Someone brought to my attention
by Jaleho on Fri Apr 24, 2009 03:17 PM PDTThat idiots are chatting about me! The worthless comments are too long for me to waste time and read. As I have said before, I would IGNORE ignorant idiots who repeat uneducated racist nonsense, or tend to repeat material that they really are not fit to make comment about. These people ususally don't want to gain a knowledge or clarification while persevering in a conversation, rather they are interested in an endless khalehzanki with each other. They also tend to make a poublic ass out of themselves by insisting on material that they clearly have no knowledge about.
So instead, for all those who don't understand the difference between knowledge and interpretation, fact and opinion, and think their IGNORANT "opinion" is more than the asshole which everyone has also one, I'll invite them to have fun with the opinion of similar "dumb Americans" here.

i couldn't have asked for more than you have offered here.
by anonymous fish on Thu Apr 23, 2009 03:28 PM PDTi appreciate your honesty AND brutality...:-)
i've laughed at some things you've said here... frowned at others... and disagreed with yet others. (mostly frowning at the less-than-positive truths...lol).
the situation with ID is most likely a moot one. aziz has said himself... iranians don't forgive OR forget easily. whereas I... well, i tend to forgive too easily. we, with our irish tempers, say things we don't mean quickly and without thinking. yet, seconds later we're going out of our way to drive to our loved ones in a time of need.
i'm defensive on iranian.com because i'm in the minority. and as i said, there is a clear anti-american sentiment visible.
you're not my hamvatan. iran is not my vatan. but you and iran ARE my husband's. i sit guietly when him while he watches pictorials of iran with tears in his eyes. i wipe the tears from his cheek when he talks of the homesickness he has for his mother and sister and brother.
i take the greatest pride a wife could possibly have preparing our home for norooz. i seek out persian treasures to fill our iranian-american home to try and replace all that he lost when he left his beloved motherland. i love his iranian sons like they are my own and i take pride when i hear our youngest slip up and call me "mom".
hard headed and stubborn? oh mo chara... what an understatement!!!!!! me with my irish heritage and my iranian husband? my god! what a combustable relationship...LOLOL.
now. in that we're being honest with one another. i value your comment that you are not anti-jewish or anti-american. i've never once thought you were anti-american... ever at all. and while i believe in my heart that you're not anti-jewish and i've defended you in that regard... it comes across sometimes as being so. you seem unnaturally obsessed with israel and by virture of your criticism of israeli government, it seems to reflect on your sentiments of jews themselves. i hope i'm wrong. you say that i am. i will accept it as such.
but let me point out something. you make many references to having jewish friends as an excuse for being NON anti-semitic. would that same reasoning apply to me as well? everyone knows i'm married to an iranian... yet i'm anti-iranian???? how does this make sense?????
yet i then read the utterly heartbreaking scenario you describe. you're iranian by birth. you're an american citizen. you have friends in israel. you ARE in the eye of the storm!!!!! god forbid something happens... what DO you do.
it's easy for me. i'm 100% committed to america. i won't deny that. which doesn't mean i believe or support anything and everything the US does. but this is my country and i'm completely loyal to her. period. but what if. what IF. someone, whether it be iran or israel... does the unthinkable and brings us to war.
what do i say to my husband? how do i comfort him? what support do i give our troops... doing what they are told to do? what do i say to my son... my marine son? the thought... the possibility of this sickens me.
i respectfully disagree about jaleho. you might righteously disagree with mehdi on specific points, issues and ideologies. but jaleho is evil and dangerous. this is my opinion and i believe it is has been substantiated time and time again. i can't even compare her to zion who, while many insist is anti-iranian, has never really specifically said anything anti-iranian. anti-iri? absolutely. as sarah would say... "you betcha". but i've heard her compliment the iranian people and culture FAR more than i've heard anything that could be even by a stretch be called ANTI-iranian. we will obviously disagree about this. let us do so respectfully. jaleho is the personification of evil to me. she radiates evil and i've never been afraid of a person like i am of her. this has nothing to do with her personal vendetta against me.
your comment about the south. so ironical!!!! i just made a statement about the south on another blog. i hope you get a chance to see it. you have a point...lol.
i think i told you before a little about myself. i really can't deny my tone gets that certain "something". i hate to think it's being arrogant because i truly think i am quite humble! but my job requirements DO create a very specific tone. i worked for a friggin lawyer for 8 years god's sake. can it get any worse than that???????
and yes, i am VERY defensive of the attitude that many people, especially foreigners, have of the south. of us being ignorant and racist. i do take it personally. i'm sorry.... i can't help that. :-)
i WILL take your advise as i know it's given with the best of intentions. i'll lighten my ass up a little...:-0
azizam wants me to completely avoid any political issues and just have fun. i understand to a certain extent but then i think... if i don't get involved... who will speak for me when my time comes?
ps. just a little light weight reading for you. i hope you get a chuckle. i can assure you... each and every one is 100% true...LOL
//home.hiwaay.net/~thargrav/south3.htm
peace out. i hope one day we shall meet. i know azizam has the greatest respect for you!
You bet

anyhoo. i will discuss this with you on this thread. it isn't just the two of us though and that alone with impair the discussion. i will be perfectly honest and open about explaining THAT comment as well. as you said, i'm too tired and too old for games.
i want you to do one thing for me though. i'd like you to try and be impartial... even more so than you have been. and BELIEVE me... i know how hard you've tried. i want you to think about what i've said... here and elsewhere. i'd like you to go back and read the last comment i made here and tell me where it's doing anything BUT acknowledging ANYONE the right to criticize!!!! i don't understand where you get that i'm suggesting you don't have a right to criticize!!!!
a mini vendetta was set in progress and i've been on the defensive since. i WILL discuss this in full later but i will end this tonight with the request that you remain open and objective. at least until i've had a chance to defend myself and/or clarify myself.
regardless of the outcome... you have my utmost respect.

by capt_ayhab on Tue Apr 21, 2009 02:20 PM PDTI am being perfectly honest with you when I say do not take a belligerent tone with me. YOU are the one who has been criticizing me lately in connection with every news thread that I post. I have asked you several times with no avail.
You say Israel has f@@ked up.
Dear lady, killing of 1000's upon 1000's of innocent women and children is not a fuck up. F##k up is when you spill hot coffee on yourself when driving in a brand new suite [as i did this morning]. F@@k up is when you miss that important call or wreck the rental car.
What you call f++k-up in case of Israel rest of the world calls it WAR CRIMES, GENOCIDE. ETHIC CLEANSING, APARTHEID and etc etc etc. This is your double standard, and that is why people pick arguments with you. You call IR actions as Anti Semite[rightfully too] but to you murder of 1000's upon 1000's of women and children are a mere[F@@K-UP]. You call Iran's pursuit of DEFENSIVE arsenal[IF ANY] and existential threat to Israel and the world, yet to you 60 years of constant fight and instability of the entire world which is is brought by Israel a mere self defense? To you, ONLYIsrael has the right to exist, f@@k everyone else, as Israel has done in past 60 years.
Sweet lady this is what I mean when I say you have turned the blind side to the truth. Then you ask me to clarify my position by saying[the words you put in my mouth] that IR is racist.
Allow me ask you a question, who gives you the right to declare that [All Iranians are predisposed to Antisemitism]?
//iranian.com/main/news/2009/04/20/walkout-ir...
Are you becoming our brand new Sean Hanitty and or Glen Beck here? What happened to your objectivity? You been conducting yourself in an utterly unprofessional manner, by condescending and insulting anyone who dares to declare that they are Americans. Sweet lady you simply do not have the right to say that, you have even gone as far as questioning my loyalties to US, which happens to be my adopted motherland, which happens to have been very good to me and my small family.
You go as far as questioning my RIGHTS to criticize US, in which I have lived for 35 years. Sweet Lady, you do not have the right to dictate that to ME. I have said it many times, My loyalties lie in HUMAN RACE, I criticize and bash US as I do IR and Israel. I have earned that right.
The reason I being so brutal here is I have watched you belittle everyone who dares to disagree with you or whoever dares to criticize Israel, besides no one will check this thread anymore, so it is between you and I.I have not ever picked a fight with you, but recently you have been on my tail and I have asked many times with no answer.
Get off your high horse, you are way to brilliant and intelligent to act this emotional. And one word of advice, Don't ever threaten a KNOWN A@@HOLE like me. If you do not believe what kind of a brutal a@@hole I could be, I am more than happy to provide testimonials.
If after 16 weeks of my participation in this site, and after many many
dialogues between you and I, you are just getting around to asking this
question and threatening me with taking gloves off I have one thing to
say to you.
Bring it on.
Cheers and boooos .... ;-)

do you not READ or do you just like to provoke?
by anonymous fish on Mon Apr 20, 2009 05:08 PM PDTi don't see anything WRONG with ANYONE criticizing ANYONE'S ruthless, criminal, or inhumane actions. you best remember that applies to EVERYONE, not just the victim of YOUR obsession.
YOUR beloved IRI is far guiltier of ANY crimes israel may have committed.
and nothing YOU say will be able to whitewash THAT.
captain. i hope you'll take the time to answer MY question. is the IRI anti-semitic or not? and does that fact justify walking out of his "speech" or not?
Thanks Captain
by IRANdokht on Mon Apr 20, 2009 04:56 PM PDTI just noticed that although you posted it first, you're being told that this news was posted already!
How do you argue with that logic?
:o)
I don't see anything wrong with people of the world criticizing Israel's inhumane actions. Whether the truth is told by AN or anyone else in the world, it doesn't change the facts and people are well aware of the facts despite the constant campaigning and propaganda.
Thanks for the post
IRANdokht
no... not a blind side YT
by anonymous fish on Mon Apr 20, 2009 02:49 PM PDTjust a side. it's something not seen much here at all.
why do you accuse me of taking a blind side? do you deny the IRI is anti-semitic? it's simple. yes or no.
i don't support everything that israel does. i never said i did. i simply said i support the jewish people having a homeland of their own. there is a HUGE ocean of issues between the two.
please don't accuse ME of having a blind side anymore than you wish to be accused of being an anti-semite. it's unfair and untrue.
the IRI is despicable. period. their regime has nothing but contempt for women and human rights. while israel has fucked up big time in HOW they are negotiating their rights, their INTENTION is one of survival. please do not compare the two.
gloves are off now. those who insult me do so at their own peril. my respect is for individuals who deserve the right of respect. if you as an iranian support the vile and disgusting and insulting behavior of other iranians... then you're not the person i thought you were.
:-)
who is on first
by capt_ayhab on Mon Apr 20, 2009 12:27 PM PDTNot that anyone cares.
at times seems to me that your support of Israel takes a blind side to the truth.
no doubt about IR regime, but their actions can not and will not white-wash Israeli apartheid and ethnic cleansing policies.
