the most important game
by Abarmard on Thu Apr 23, 2009 05:37 PM PDTIs the North Korean game. If Iran can pull that off, we could be on our way to S Africa.

Ghotbi has the credentials
by KB on Thu Apr 23, 2009 11:13 AM PDTHe has worked with the likes of Guus Hiddink and Dick Advocaat as an assistant with the S Korean team.
Lets hope firstly, he can do his job without interference by the regime and secondly bring discipline and order to Team Melli.
Afshin Ghotbi
by Annonymous (not verified) on Thu Apr 23, 2009 10:41 AM PDTI feel for Mr. Ghotbi! He has agreed to carry on a daunting and nerly impossible task of qualifying Iran for WC in S. Africa. With lack of support, lack of proper facilities, lack of funds, and having to deal with an amaturish/ irresponsible football federation I am fairly certin the day will come when he feels sorry for accepting the managerial duties of team melli. Regardless, I wish him and my beloved team melli nothing but success.
