Moderate earthquake jolts southeastern Iran

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran's seismological center says a magnitude-5.2 earthquake has struck a sparsely populated area in southeastern Iran near the Pakistani border. Thursday's report says the earthquake hit Zaboli district, some 950 miles southeast of the capital, Tehran.

not to take this lightly!  i add my safe wishes to those who are affected.

having experienced my first quake in orange county a few months ago, i simply can not imagine the terror this brings to people on a daily basis.

give me a hurricane any day!
