The news is worthless, as you said, Ostaad jan. So why do it? I sense there is a coordinated "pre election" thing going on. I think they are getting ready to do something during or after the elections. They saw that it was a vulnerable time last time. There's just way too many of these groups popping up in the past 12-18 months. The TV Washington is only a part of the picture.

Don't forget the "shake ups" in Radio Zamaneh and VOA. They were about having more propaganda in news.

I am wondering why a legit news organization would go through so much to simply hide its identity! As you astutely pointed out, this is no mom and pop operation, hence the official look.

Regarding the content, I find it superficial and Fox News-like. Nothing they have posted on iranian.com is ground breaking, analytical and "new".

I think I'd simply ignore these guys.

The veracity of the reported news item, its devastating true meaning or its impact on the  psyche of the Iranian nation for generations to come are all irrelevant and immaterial.

Mr. Ostaad I'm a web designer so I thought I take a look at this.

I don't think they are in AZ. What you have found means they have hidden their true InterNIC registration information. That's what the "Domains by Proxy" service does for you.

This is a very fancy website with on demand graphics, vide and constant update. I see that they have a YouTube operation that goes with it. It is not cheap to run something like this, and yet it only has a single google ad on the page. According to their statistics here, they should be making very little from this advertisement. So this is not their source of revenue. Frankly, in this economy, you flat-out will not make money any news site as a new comer, period. This is just about the very last thing anybody would invest in.

what's with AZ Ostaad?

I am a little backwards when it comes to the WWW... It seems to me that a lot of websites are from Scottsdale AZ! is that a hub or do they have a high number of impostors in AZ? what's going on?
