US President Barack Obama has praised the opposition candidate in Iran's disputed presidential election. Mr Obama said Mir Hossein Mousavi had captured the imagination of groups in Iran that were interested in opening up to the world. He spoke of the bravery of protesters in the face of "outrageous" violence. Mr Obama's comments came hours after foreign ministers from the G8 nations issued a statement "deploring" the post-election violence in Iran.

It's not that they're "with" anyone. They've been under so much scrutiny that they've gone ultra-conservative from being already one of the most conservative of the bunch. That's why all throughout, they were also trying to show "Ahmadinejad supporters' side" and what have you.
They don't know that they'll be "damned if they do and damned if they don't, so better if they do". Just like Obama for now.

BBC and BBC Persia can go to hell

by Anonymous77 (not verified) on

I don't believe a word they say anymore, except for John Simpson, because he's old school, and one can read between the lines because he actually delivers lines.
BBC Persia is a cesspit of hardline dangerous activists with lies about their own breakfast. Unless I actually hear and see Obama say what he is supposed to have said I won't trust the BBC one iota. What on earth they are all cooking up behind the scenes, they only know.
