Iran Eliminates Possibility of Talks with EU

The head of Iran’s military, Maj. Gen. Hassan Firouzabadi, has said that the European Union is “disqualified” from engaging in talks with Iran regarding its nuclear program, the BBC reports. Wednesday’s comments from the general come after a string of allegations by Iranian officials that various E.U. nations, and especially the United Kingdom, were involved in the street protests that shook Iran after its June 12 presidential poll.
