Turkish lawyer has claimed that his Iranian client has transferred an $18.5-billion treasure from Iran to Turkey through courier services.

Senol Ozel told Turkey's independent “Kanal D” channel that his client, “Esmael Safarian-Nasab,” is a respected Iranian businessman and has transferred the money to Turkey through legal means.

The container-load of US dollars and gold bullion was delivered to Ankara Customs Office on October 7, 2008, Ozel said.

He noted that the container contained $7.5 billion and 20 metric tons of gold.

Iranian wants his $18.5 bn back from Turkey

by ramintork on

This unknown individual is obviously a money laundering front for one of the major players in IRI. This is how our money is being plundered. This is what they are, a bunch of theives, murdering gangsters.

Press TV in this report tries to do damage control, claiming that Esmael Safarian-Nasab is a respectable business man!

What the hell is a respectable businessman doing with $18.5-billion of gold bullion in a container?

You have to sell alot of carpets to get $18.5-billion so this can only be stolen oil money.

On one side you have the youth pouring their blood on our streets on the other containers of gold taking the wealth of the nation away.

The only way forward is a secular democracy, with institutions that answer to people as guard for each other and with no trace of this regime left.

Does the opposition want a revolution based on lies and manupilation? It only proves the opposition is just the same as the government, both are "mardom farib"

Turkish State Minister Hayati Yazici on Thursday dismissed the report, stressing that the claim is "false and baseless", Turkey's official news agency, Anadolu reported.

No, I think this was going out rather than in

There is so much being stolen, it could be any number of major players, but I think with Mojtaba's frozen assets he would just make the Bank transfer somewhere else.

But given the amount it must be Khamenei or Rafsanjani related.
