Israel Has No Nuclear Weapons Or Energy Program

by Dan Huck on

Now Israel is denying they even have nuclear weapons! At least that's what the Israeli ambassador to Eastern Africa, Jacob Keidar, told journalists in Kampala, Uganda, on Sept. 10th. He said "Israel does not have any nuclear weapons or programs".

Regardless of the alleged despicable behavior of the leaders of the IRI, because it is matched by the despicable behavior of almost every other nation of the world at one time or another - simply look at our defense of torture, or the Israeli's defense of their behavior in Gaza; regardless of this the question is, because Jews (and the state of Israel) are our 'buddies', should we ignore Iran's rights under the NPT to have a peaceful nuclear energy program? If we want to eliminate the threat of nuclear proliferation in the Mideast shouldn't we look at the boulder in our own eye (Israel's nuclear arsenal built up over 40 years of subterfuge) before cursing the speck (Iran's baby steps to nuclear independence) in the other guy's eye? Israel needs to be pushed to join the NPT, and we should be laughing at their attempts to manipulate the world into destroying their "existential competition", Iran, after the fiasco of Iraq.
