BRUSSELS (Reuters) - NATO urged Russia on Friday to help other global powers put the maximum possible diplomatic pressure on Iran not to develop nuclear weapons.

NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen made the appeal before talks on October 1 between Iran and world powers including the United States, and as part of proposals to improve cooperation between the defense alliance and Moscow.

His comments followed remarks by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in which the Kremlin leader said he did not rule out new sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program.

Just offer them more money than IRI does

by Ali Lakani on

Who can deny that Russia and its support for anything have been up for sale for a very long time.  The only reason they are so chummy with IRI right now is all the different ways in which they are financially rewarded for their connection to Iran.

They are also helping and supporting IRI with its cirminal and brutal crackdown on Iranian people, providing them with knowhow and consultations and technology on crowd control and ways to suppress Iranians even further.  Iranians know this too, which explains why we hear them chant "Marg bar russieh."
