The editorial "Talking to Tehran" (Sept.30) is correct when it states that U.S. dialogue with Iran is preferable to military action or harsher sanctions against them. Iran is not a threat to our national interest, and we should be negotiating and trading with them, not threatening them.
All of the hostility toward Iran comes from one source : Israel and its powerful lobby. We cannot allow the same warmongering, pro-Israel neocons to manipulate us into a war with Iran, the same way they got us into Iraq.
Instead of giving a timeline to Iran, we should be telling Israel either to end their occupation and oppression of the Palestinians or we cut off all aid to Israel: financial, military and political. It is this occupation that is the root cause of the violence in the Middle East, and we should not be supporting it.

by Ostaad on Thu Oct 01, 2009 02:59 PM PDTObama seems to be putting the Zionist-infested US politics in rehab. I sure hope he succeeds to rid the US politics from the Zionism disease.
How about: "Don't let Israel poison US", period
