Iran's Samand Car to Hit Swiss Market

An official with Iranian carmaker Iran Khodro Company (IKCO) stated that Samand car has passed all the necessary tests based on Euro IV standards in Switzerland and a batch of eight cars will be exported to the country.

IKCO director for exports and international affairs Alireza Fayz said that Switzerland has one of the highest standard levels not only for Europe but for the whole world and sending cars to that country is a proud achievement for Iranian experts, the Mehr News Agency reported.

He stated that for the time being the exported cars to Switzerland have not been able to get the permit for license plates, but with the studies and talks carried out for marketing, selling and after sale services of this car in that country all obstacles will be removed and long term contracts will soon be signed.
