Dear benross
by Bavafa on Sun Nov 15, 2009 07:40 PM PSTI am all for journalist challenging their interviewees, some thing that is mostly lacking in the US main stream media and I was glad to see it here. Another thing that is lacking in most journalist is an unbiased and evenhanded type questioning.
Most of his questions were designed to defend Israel. When he asked if Israel has the right to self defense, perhaps he could have concede that Palestinians have the same right to self defense. They have been living under total lockdown with every aspect of their lives being controlled by Israelis. That is an act of war in itself.

Couldn't Bill Moyer be any
by benross on Sun Nov 15, 2009 12:18 PM PSTCouldn't Bill Moyer be any more one sided in this interview?
I don't have a specific judgment on Bill Moyer in person, but in this case, I think it was just good journalism to challenge Goldstone findings. He didn't 'planted' a prejudice, like some journalists do (and many bloggers here!) after all, Hamas was doing exactly what he was saying. So it was good journalism.
And Goldstone came out quite convincing to me.

Yet he could not find one excuse to justify the murderous acts of the IDF during Gaza war. Bringing those responsible for these crimes is not just for the Palestinians, but for the world so never such atrocities to take place again
