Iran hails Mauritania's decision to cut ties with Israel

IRAN - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad hailed Mauritania's move to cut
ties with Iran's arch-foe Israel as he held talks with his visiting
counterpart from the Arab nation, his office has said.
"The action taken by Mauritania to cut ties with the Zionist regime
is very valuable and should be considered as role model for other
Islamic countries," Ahmadinejad told Mauritania's President Mohamed
Ould Abdel Aziz on Monday.
"The Zionists are angry over these actions as they want to project
that they have normal relations with the Islamic world," the Iranian
hardliner was quoted as saying in remarks posted on his office website
late Monday.
