Tabnak website writes: On Wednesday, February 10th, the floating passenger port at the Hormozgan fishing harbor in southern Iran, on the Persian Gulf, broke and began to sink during it’s inauguration.
According to the Islamic Labor News Agency (ILNA) the reason for the breakage was the presence of too many people on the dock during the inauguration ceremony. Members of the provincial government as well as a number of the regime’s authorities reportedly fell in the water as the port broke off and began to sink.
The cost for the construction of this port is said to have been upward of $323 million US. The construction began in 2006 and was finished in 2008 after which other additional sections had to be installed until it was finally prepared for it’s inauguration.
