As Thomas Dolder and Mario Fedeli gathered luggage, equipment and other gear on Thursday morning, they knew they were about to embark on a “dream of a lifetime.”
The two men, both pilots and aviation business owners in New Bern, boarded a single-engine 2007 Cessna 182T to begin a trans-Atlantic flight to Switzerland, a journey that will cover 4,851 nautical miles over the next week.
