by MM on Tue Apr 20, 2010 06:53 PM PDTI said there are political prisoners in Iran, and the VF is ultimately responsible for all atrocities that goes on in Iran, from political prisoners being killed to the billions stolen out of the Iranian Khazaaneh. The VF is resposnsible, whether under stooge AN, Khatami or Rafsanjani.

That is not what this post is about
by No Fear on Tue Apr 20, 2010 03:49 PM PDTVelayateh Fagih is not what this post is about.
However, my opinion of Velayateh Fagih is very similar to Farhad Jafari's opinion which might surprise you and it could offer a new perspective. This is debated here;

Read it a post your opinion on it. This thread is about whether Ahmadinejad has prisoned those who oppose his policies.
no matter who is president, the buck stops at Velayate Faghih
by MM on Tue Apr 20, 2010 03:38 PM PDTThere is only one power base in Iran, under a few selected mullahs. The remaining so called elected folks, who were screened heavily beforehand to conform the VF mold, are just players under VF.
Did you even read my last post?
by No Fear on Tue Apr 20, 2010 03:27 PM PDTIronically, most of the executions which happened in Iran were during the governments of those who have become " reformists".
Again, i am asking you to point to examples of people sent to jail because they were against the policies of Ahmadinejad's government.
Or you can make it easy on yourself and call IR as one whole structure bonded together which has to be toppled. In that case I will wish you luck for the next 30 years and won't waste my time debating you here.

by No Fear on Tue Apr 20, 2010 03:06 PM PDTWould you mind seperating those who are in jail only for voicing their opinion against " Ahmadinejad's administration Policies " ?
If someone has acted against Iran national security, or has aided spy agencies and has confessed to their crimes, this falls under the jurisdiction of Iranian judiciary and has nothing to do with Ahmadinejad.
Are you able to make the distinction? Or do you see the entire regime as one whole body?

He is telling the truth
by No Fear on Tue Apr 20, 2010 02:45 PM PDTIf you start reading some of the online newspapers from Iran, you will notice that over 20 publications are against the policies of Ahmadinejad's administration and are openly critisizing his government in Iran.
Thankfully, It was Ahmadinejad who started the trend of debating and critisism in IR and has allowed himself to be critisized as well. This is a positive developement in our internal politic that we have to support and make sure this trend will continue.
